I tried the search engine for this question, which I reckon must exist, but I couldn’t find it. Any references are welcome of course.

But if not, then what have you personally experienced to give you growth in the pump?
Or maybe even: What has definitely NOT given you growth in the tube. I think it’s interesting to have a somewhat clear overview of this.

I think you mean “vacuum” instead of “tension”. For pumping, the characterizations of low, medium and high don’t have unique value meanings. Perhaps you would have better participation if you used numbers or range of numbers instead.

I probably do. English isn’t my native language, so sometimes I make mistakes by translating it directly from my own language.

Yess, I would maybe be better off with putting numbers, but I don’t have enough experience with pump-meters to know the range. I thought people would intuitively know if they pumped with a strong vacuum or intermediate because of how it would feel.

5 hg would be considered low

7 hg would be considered intermediate

10 hg would be considered high

For myself speaking. I have had the best results from 5hg- 7hg but nothing past that was helpful. 5 hg is the perfect pressure for myself

This is incorrect. You cannot feel the diffference in vacuum levels with any accuracy which is why we strongly recommend people use a pump with a gauge. Using a gauge is the only way to know what the vacuum level is and to be able to have repeatable and consistent pumping sessions.

If you’ve every seen the frogs explode in The Hulk movie that’s what will happen to your penis with too much pressure for too long. Trust me, I know from experience.

Ahah, I can only imagine. But thats why it also wasnt in the option list.

Till now, most people seem to have had gains with long sessions on low/intermediate vacuum.

What is considered as long duration?

I’ve pumped for a few months at 3-5 inHg for 15-20 minutes. Recently I tried going 30 minutes and going to 7 inHg at the most just to see if there was a significant difference. I feel like when you go 30 minutes it really “starts”, but that’s only from a short testing period.

Thats a good question.
For me personally 20-30 mins is long. I’ve never tried longer.

I feel like that should be considered long as well. I’ve seen guys on here say that they pump for 45min+, some even twice a day, or even more. Pumping for more than 35 minutes or so once or twice a day seems excessive, no? I don’t know, maybe just me.

May I ask, what made you gain that much girth? Was it pumping only or have you done other workouts too? Very impressive stats, and very jealous as well, haha!

I always wondered, what is the range of low and range of intermediate pressure in your opinion?

One step at a time.

Low and slow, but for great EQ and maybe some slow gains. For me, nothing much happens in terms of in-tube length without going to higher than 15hg for at least 3-9 seconds. But I only really enjoy pumping at 2-4hg for 15-20min sets, or maybe a little longer than that. I get the strongest boners that last long after those sets.

Taking higher pressures is an effort for me but it gave good results from the beginning. I first used a pump for 2 months 2 years ago, I’ve started pumping again with a commitment last autumn, 2020, I did my first 15-20min consecutive sets, 1-2hours every other day with real comimitment recently, since march. That’s my experience so far, it’s been great.

But for real girth gains, I vote for pumping low and slow + clamping. It’s like I can feel when I need to clamp and have those huge girth increases, and it doesn’t take more than 5-10min if all went well with EQ/pumping sets timing and so on…I call that the sweet spot for me and it’s been a month already since I haven’t fully went there again, haven’t felt that urge and haven’t pumped so much like I did. It goes something like 30-60min pumping, 5-10 min clamping, repeat.

I was pumping twice a day for 20 minutes at 5 hg. After several years, I hit a plateau, but when I added a once a week session at 4 hg for 45 minutes, I started to gain again.


Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

A lot of this boils down to experience and preference.

I prefer short sets with higher vacuum spikes.

Experienced pumpers will find the sweet spot that they like, which is a negotiation between time and pressure.

All of this is a dance focused around increasing volume while minimizing edema.
