Yes the mityvac is smooth where the tubing attaches, as you say when I tighten the jubilee clip it slides off the conical end.
What is 3-M 5200?

Nonstock, do you mean self adhesive tape? I have some of that.
gprent, I ordered my cylinder from the UK, they provide the Mityvac pump which I think comes from the US.
I told the UK company that the tubing slips right off and they suggested I use the clip.
LOl, great help they are.
I went to a huge hardware store and took my pump with me but could not find a better fit silicone tubing.
I have some superglue, will that be OK to use on my pump?
