I have 2 cylinders..both 9 long..one 5.75 and one 6. I have started messin with 2 sets with one then last 2 sets with the 6. 4 sets 5 min each. My EQ has definitely improved..stiffer stronger for sure..but im actually skinnier..but longer. While i pump..my gains girth wise have definitely increased. Im starting to fill out the 6 across the top half from the base to mid shaft..BUT when im hard on my own..im longer n harder but im down to 5 mid girth.. from 5.25. This isnt expected so im wondering how to read this..i dont know if its normal..i assume im doing things right based on EQ..and girth gains are occurring while in the cylinder but gettn less girth on my own. Does anyone have any familiarity with this? Thx

I can’t explain what has happened in your situation, but why not try a short session of jelqing after finishing your pumping routine? I do 50 to 60 slow jelqs after my daily 20 minute pump session and I find this gives me a nice plump girth well into the next day. Maybe it’s not permanent, but like any form of PE, if you do it regularly you should be able to retain what you’ve got.

Have you based your vacuum pump routine on the VED protocol?

That said, yes, what you’re experiencing is normal. Generally, everyone responds differently to vacuum pump training. However, 4 sets of 5 minutes, for a total of 20 minutes, might not be enough to deform the plastic matrix and retain the girth gains outside the cylinder. Alternatively, you could consider adding some complementary exercises to maximize the effectiveness of the vacuum pump. Again, everyone is different!
