5 HG is the safe limit for pumping, where most people won’t have any problems. Remember, everyone is different, and there is no guarantee that your gauge is calibrated correctly.

So, the best idea is to start off slowly, maybe 3 HG for 5 to 10 minutes, and see how it goes the first time. After that move up slowly, watching your P.I.s.

Ok so safe limit is 5Hg. What about people who are doing pumping up to 12-15 Hg. Are they damaging their penis? Gprent, please tell me if I pump for half hour for 5 days in a week up to 5Hg, will I get 1 inch length in 6 month time? Or with this schedule, how time I need to get 1 inch in length and off course, girth as well. Please let me know what your wise experience says?

12-15Hg is also safe. But it can cause severe edema or bruising. We are not talking about doing irreparable damage here, that requires way more pressure than 15Hg. However when you are new to pumping even 10Hg will likely be painful to the point of being intolerable. 1 inch in 6month time is higly unlikely, but it’s all up to how you respond which is impossible to predict. You might gain 1 inch in 6 months you might need 2 years to gain 0.5 inch.

Sorry to sound argumentative, but you can do “irrepairable damage” even with low vacuum. It depends on how much the penis stretches, compared to how much stretch it can safely tolerate.

At all times you need to be careful and pay close attention to any signs of being stretched too much, both when actually pumping and also afterwards. :)

There is nothing safe about pumping to these levels. And suggesting to a newbie that these levels are safe is irresponsible.

REread my post then. What you say is false end of discussion. Did NOT suggest pumping to those levels in fact said 10Hg will be painful and he risk bruising at 12-15Hg. But without fearmongering.

As you increase over 5Hg, the risks of injury, or “irreparable damage” increases. Even at 5Hg there is a slight risk.

I’ve been pumping now for nearly 2 years, & only go up to 6Hg for a few seconds. I find 5Hg to be even uncomfortable at times. Even staying at this relatively low vacuum I still suffer from discolouration (bruising) and edema.

At the present time, I’m working on a Routine to reduce the edema (and maybe some of the discolouration). This will probably include making 5 Hg the limit, as well as reducing time.

You should not even consider going into double figure Hg, until you have several years under your belt.

Personally, I don’t ever see myself ever going anywhere near those high Hg’s. For me, the risk is too great. You only have one penis. :)

Urologists recommend VED to people suffering ED. If there was a danger of serious injury at 1-15Hg (Bathmate and Penomet both pump to 14 and 17 Hg respectively) Bathmate wouldnt have sold in millions and millions over so many years with no big complaints all over the internet of bathmate injuries. If you are healthy you could get badly bruised if you pump too high pressure too fast, even get a venous leak if really unlucky, but there are in no way a risk of injuries in the severity of what you risk when hanging. If you pump at or below what these pumps (bathmate, penomet) that have sold so much can produce.

Since you mentioned Urologists, it would be interesting to see a link where one suggests pumping to 12 -15 Hg.

Magic Snake Oils & Pills for PE are a million dollar business, and I think most of us would agree, a waste of money as well as possibly harmful. But they market them well, to desperate people wanting a quick fix.

Just because Bathmate has a very successful marketing machine, does not make it any good. You will notice here, only in the past week, the number of Newbies asking questions about them, or saying they have one. Their biggest market is Newbies, because they don’t know better, and get sucked in with the marketing. You won’t find many Vet’s at Thunders using one seriously because they are a toy without a gauge.

PEGym pushes them quite hard. But even so, recommend not going over 5Hg.

You’ll even see a picture of a Bathmate at the top of the page on the link, and no suggestion that 17 Hg is ok.

Thank you for proving my point. Bathmate is dangerous in the sense that you can not know how much pressure you are using and it can give the damage of pumping up to around 15Hg which is not serious damage in a healthy penis like your example illustrated. You chose to prove the danger of the bathmate by example 1 where a guy had a string of blood in his bathmate water because he pumped so hard blood escaped out of a vein and "leaked" out through the skin and vein wall.

Example number 2 got unsensitive glands. None of the above is fun to have and ofcourse the guys who suffered these injuries are not happy, but it wasn’t like tearing your ligaments when hanging.

Baiting and trying to make my post into something it is not is most likely against forum rules. It is impossible with normal reasoning to deduct that I would in any way think bathmates are safe from the statement quoted, clearly I mentioned they can cause bruising, in subsequent posts I also said what most everyone already knows that they can in the worst case even cause venous leak. bad try and bad conduct.

I’ve been pumping for three years now and used the Penomet for 2 1/2 of that. From the start I knew this thing was way too damn powerful and it caused all kinds of negative PI’s and it did start to cause desensitization. I made massive gains with this thing but I’m very lucky I didn’t permanently injure myself with this incredible hulk green spring that they provide that wants to rip your dick off when you try to pump at all!

I got an air pump with a gauge and now I am pumping 2 30 minute sessions per day at 3 to 5 inches. Usually I get it set to five and disconnect the hose and the pressure falls after a while and I leave it there and I have had no negative PI’s and I’m not measured yet but I can see mine are gains in just a month or two. I went from packing 1 inch of the 2 inch tube to packing 3 to 3 1/2 in two months. And I don’t get any water retention or fluid buildup.

I did pump to 10 once and in 15 to 20 minutes I packed the entire tube which seemed really cool until I took it off and realized I had a big fat sausage of water that was over 6 inches around. As it subsided I had Frankenstein cock for a day. So now I know that five or four seems to be the maximum that I can use and still get no fluid and results.
