Selecting Your Cylinder Size

Thanks for the quick reply!

I started manual PE back in mid-February. At first, it was gung-ho daily routine for a couple weeks, then it became off and on. Then I realized, about 3 months ago, that I had really gained 1/4” in length. Needless to say, the last 3 months has been rock steady routine, and I’ve gained about another almost 3/8” in length in that time. Neat thing is, I can normally kegel another 1/8” or or a little more, even when totally rock hard, so the other night I was just shy of 6.5” kegel’ed out. A 1/2”-5/8” gain may not sound like much, but when I can visibly see that my dick is bigger now, and measure it regularly to prove it to myself, I’m a believer.

So, bottom line, as long as I have a hand that works, I’ll be tugging on my dick ‘til the day I die! ;)

I’ve been doing stretches, jelqes and kegles for 6-8 months now and am pleased with the results. I haven’t plateaued yet, but I would like to add pumping and while continuing the manual routine. I’m 5.0” EG and pretty much uniform at base and along the shaft. I’ve read that this would put me into a 1.75” round tube, but since my dick has an elliptical cross-section (about 25% wider than tall), an elliptical would seem perfect for me. My problem is that LAPD’s sizing chart seems off to me:

Our Size … Short Side … … Longer Side
1 1/2” … … 1 1/2” - 1 5/8” … 1 7/8” - 1 15/16”
1 3/4” … … 1 3/4” - 1 7/8” … . 2 1/8” - 2 1/4”

What they call the 1.5” tube appears to be a 1.75” round “flattened out” slightly. Doing the math on the elliptical circumference gives 5.5” +/- which is the same as a 1.75” round. Ditto their “1.75” elliptical seems to be a 2.0” round “flattened” slightly with a 6.3” +/- circumference. So I’m confused which one to get.

I like my dick shape, and plan on taking my time with this routine and want to avoid donuting, etc. I’ve got no problem buying a first tube that I “pack quickly” in 3-6-12 months, since if I enjoy the pumping, I plan on buying the next larger tube to do two stage pumping. Since gaining 1/2” of girth circumference in the tube sounds way more reasonable than 1.3” I’m leaning towards their “1 1/2” tube. Even though it seems to makes sense, their sizing numbers are throwing me for a loop.

Vets thoughts or experiences with elliptical tubes would be greatly appreciated. (I searched for a similar thread and the only ones I found sounded like LAPD changed their size numbers over the years)

I’m also a bit confused about all the sizing. After reading all the threads it seems that a 1.75” oval (which measures 1.5” short side x 1.75” long side, inside dimensions of cylinder) would be equivalent to a 1.50” round cylinder. Can any of those more familiar confirm?

A correction to my prior posting as follows:

By the by, my girth is 4.75” which would mean a 1.75” round cylinder, so if the above is true, does that mean I could get by with a 1.5” oval cylinder?. Am looking at the LA Pumps.

Those are expensive cylinders and you want to have room for growth so you don’t have to order a larger cylinder in a couple of months, so I would go for the 1.75” oval. When putting the cylinder on, the short side should be top to bottom and the long side, side to side.

For myself, I have never felt a need for the oval shape and like my round cylinders just fine. A 1.75” round will fit without question and give you plenty of room for growth and save you 20 bucks.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

For selecting diameter, use the table below.

<table class=”tborder” cellpadding=”4” cellspacing=”1” border=”0” align=”center” width=”50%” style=”text-align: center”><tr><td class=”tcat”><strong>Base Girth</strong></td><td class=”tcat”><strong>Cylinder Diameter</strong></td></tr><tr><td class=”alt1”>3.50 to 4.50*</td><td class=”alt1”>1.50</td></tr><tr><td class=”alt2”>4.75 to 5.25*</td><td class=”alt2”>1.75</td></tr><tr><td class=”alt1”>5.50 to 6.00*</td><td class=”alt1”>2.00</td></tr><tr><td class=”alt2”>6.25 to 6.75*</td><td class=”alt2”>2.25</td></tr><tr><td class=”alt1”>7.00 to 7.50*</td><td class=”alt1”>2.50</td></tr><tr><td class=”alt2”>7.75 to 8.25*</td><td class=”alt2”>2.75</td></tr></table>

*If you are at the upper limit and are going for length, select the cylinder diameter straight across in the table. If you are at the upper limit and are going for girth, select the next cylinder size up. Example: Your base girth measures 5.25. If your goal is length, select the 1.75 cylinder. If your goal is girth, select the 2.0 cylinder.

Hi gprent,
my girth is 6.5, my goal is length: is better the 2.25 cylinder? It’s not too tight?

Have a conundrum here:

My base girth is 5.25” but my mid girth is 5.75”.

With a mid-girth larger than the cirucumference of the 1.75”-wide tube, will this be a problem? I do want to focus on length gains so maybe this tube is best for me? I just don’t want a situation where my cock is hard in the tube and bigger than it can hold (painful? idk).]

So what’s the best choice here: 1.75”-wide (5.5” circ.) OR 2.00”-wide (6.25”)????

[It kind of infuriates me that they’ relazy and base the selection scale on width…utterly stupid. It should be a scale with 1/4” increments ….think about it…3/4” circumference jump between tubes? Are they nuts?!]

Starting: 7x5.75

Current: 8x7

Goals: 9x7.5(8.5x7.5) --> 10x8(9x8) --> 10.5x8.5(9.5x8.5) --> 11x9(10x9)

Go for the 2” diameter tube.

I got the 2” tube at lapdist and yep, there’s a lot of room around the base (5.25” circ.). I really want to focus on length first so I’m thinking of getting the 1.75” wide tube but my mid-girth is 5.75”circ. Will there be any problems with lack of suction at the base if the mid-girth is filling the tube from the middle outward? Any way to combat that? I was thinking a couple of those coffee straws along the underside (ha!). Thanks for any help and opinions.

The 1.75” tube will be a waste of money as you won’t even be able to fit into it. Because of your shape, just stick with the 2” tube.

I tried pumping from various levels of erection and found it to work fine; I can say that at flaccid I’m certainly not thicker than 5.5” circ. so I wonder if I’m in the tube, not-hard, won’t I be able to get some pull with a narrower tube?

Base girth at 5.25” circ. with a whole inch of circumference to fill is going to take a damn long time……… I suppose stretching to get base girth up is the only way to go….but yea, we’re looking at two-year girth gains maxed out before this tube even touches the base. A smaller tube has to be of some help here.

I find that girth at the base always expands much faster then the rest of the shaft while pumping. Many guys have tried buying tubes on the small end of the band and they end up regretting it.

Alright, thanks for your help, gprent! I’ll try to be patient and suffer through this lack of 5.75” girth tubes!

Hello I have never pumped before and have a few questions….. Im using a bib starter hanger currently and thats it. I’ve taken my time and have done this for a while with little results. I’m only able to hang at the most 7 hours per week sometimes I only get one 20 min set in per day due to work and all but I never miss a day. I have heard if I work on girth while hanging it can cause a curve in your penis and/or not work since you cant work lenght and girth at the same time.

I see the chart for pumping that talks about going for lenght or girth, does a pump really work for lenght and girth? any feeback you can give me would be great!
Thanks

Sorry forgot to ask what pump brand is a good one to buy. Also Mid shaft girth is 5.5 and base is 7.0 so what size tube would I get? as I wrote in my other message just a min ago… I use a bib hanger. If I can do both lenght and girth without problems or hindering lenght gains, I would like to do both.

Can you give me the info for….
If I just want to go for lenght size of tube
If I just want to go for girth size of tube
and If I just want to go for both size of tube.

Thanks
