If your vac level is not holding steady you have a leak somewhere in the pumping system. Pubic hair and dry skin are common sources.
My routine is -5inHg, but if I am having some leaking going on I’ll increase vac level to 8 or 10, hold it there a few seconds, then go back to 5. This works to get a good seal at the base of the tube.
Note that as your penis increases size in the tube the vac level will decrease. For you motor heads it’s building compression (pressure) as the piston moves up the cylinder. As pressure increases the vac level decreases. Once your size has stabilized then the vac level should also.
If still leaking, then check the cylinder-hose connection and hose-pump connection. Take the hose off the pump, place your finger on the pump hose fitting and give it a few pumps. The vac level ahould hold steady, if not, the pump is leaking. Some can be rebuilt, others are disposable.
