Thickwall Cylinders are closing down

Sad to report that Thickwall Cylinders are closing down permanently at the end of June.
Their cylinders were beautifully made and a they were a nice company to deal with.

Is there an alternative to thickwall where you can order custom quality tubes? I broke the valve on mine just a month ago after 2 years of trusty use.

Are you sure it isnt a screw in quick disconnect female valve? If so they cost about $12 and can get them on amazon, leluv, mcmaster-carr and sometimes your local hardware store.

If it is broken off flush to the top of the tube you need a small screw driver to push into the opening and twist out the broken section.

If this is not the situation, please post a picture of it.

Ye, it can definitely be fixed. I’ve been wanting to get a new tube in new dimensions though so the busted valve was an excellent excuse to get a new one.

Does anyone have a good alternate? LA Pumps cylinder edges are pretty sharp and I don’t like that. I’m looking for flanged cylinders.

Pick up some ShapeLock plastic from eBay, or something similar from a local craft or hobby shop. It’s a thermoplastic that softens at hot-coffee temperature; you can mold it easily with your fingers, and it turns hard at room temperature.

I’ve used it to reshape the openings of a couple of tubes. Plus it’s fun to play with.

Yeah that. It’s just dumb feeling to having to modify 130€ item which you just bought. I asked the LA Pump can they soften the edges a bit, they were like hell no. XD But maybe I’ll do it if anyone does not know better company. Thx. Thickwall was always up for modifying stuff, for an extra fee. It’s somewhat crazy there was one really good pump manufacturer and now there seems to be like none.

Not the same thing but lots of people like LeLuv cylinders.

Good riddance. The pump I got costed $120 and only lasted a few months before it started losing pressure. They sent a replacement gauge but the gauge was not the issue, it was the cylinder.

Where to buy quality cylinders shipped to europe now?

I got a thickwall pump with a broken valve for sale at $70. I paid $120 for it.

It started losing suction after 3 weeks of using smh.

I saw Leluv EYRO thickwalled cylinders. Walmart, Amazon, Ebay. It costs a shitload, like 150$ with posts and fees to get one cylinder to europe. I can’t believe there is not UK or German companies selling cylinders?

They have 12" long thickwalled, no flange cylinder. I saw LA Pump has thickwall cylinders only 9" long. I already have thickwall.co.uk 9" thickwall.

Are these good?
