This thread is one of my favorites and although it is focused on erectile dysfunction (ED) my comments are more about penile health and rehabilitation especially “the aging penis.”
There are lots of things that contribute to ED - for example: cardio vascular disease, diabetes, obesity, alcohol/drug consumption, depression, stress, etc. So my comments below are not intended to be a cure - I’m afraid ED is more complicated than that.I believe there is benefit to both short and long cycles.
Short cycles are 30 seconds or less. Typical example is 6 seconds up to maximum vacuum of 5” Hg and 12 seconds down to a minimum of 2” Hg for a total cycle time of 18 seconds. Continue the cycles for 30-60 minutes. If any edema (lymph fluid) does not resolve within 12 hours then decrease total time and/or vacuum. Short cycles allow higher vacuum levels with less edema, therefore more expansion as well as mildly stressing the circulatory system.
Long cycles are 3-5 minutes. Typical example is pump up to 5” Hg, don’t pump any more unless vacuum falls below 2” Hg, continue for 5 minutes, exit the cylinder and perform a few jelqs/massage and repeat the process for 30-60 minutes. An option is to start with small cylinder (1.75”) then after a few cycles move to larger cylinder (2.0”). If any edema (lymph fluid) does not resolve within 12 hours then decrease total time and/or vacuum. Long cycles with intermittent manual manipulation (jelq)jelqing allow fresh blood to enter and lymph fluid to leave.
A good sign of improving erection quality (EQ) is the presence of nocturnal erections.
You are bang on about the nocturnal erections mate!
