Water pump vs air pump

Water pump vs air pump

Hello everyone, just started PE very recentley. I bought a Bathmate water pump and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or if I would be better off with an air pump. I also just got some red spots after I started dry jelqing after 20 minutes of pumping, so I guess I should ease of a bit.

Yeah you’re pumping too long and/or too hard, I wouldn’t be surprised if you lose a bit of erection hardness for a day or so. Check out this thread from the pumping forum that gives a recommended pumping routine:
Vacuum Pumping 101

Many members like pumping with water more because they can put warm water in that will heat their units while pumping. I like adding a bit of water into my cylinder personally. Good luck GotenkX, and welcome to Thunder’s Place.

Thank you, so far I like the bathmate except the part where I can’t really see how much pressure is in there, all their website said was to pull down as far as it went and that would be the optimum pressure (well I used both hands just to make sure I got the very last drop of water possible : D) .well I’ve tried that and since then I have gotten a bit of tenderness between my balls and my lower shaft. I’m assuming I must’ve injured some ligaments from putting so much pressure when pressing down. I have eased up a bit since then. I don’t have any experience with a regular pump, but so far it seems the water pump is the way to go, I use it as part of the warm up process. The very first time I went from a 4.8” girth to a 5.5”, lenght stayed at 6.7” l, too bad most of it was lymphatic fluid.

Edit: I forgot to ask, would anyone recommend condom pumping with a water pump? Or would it not make too much of a difference?

I’m not conversant with the instructions that come with a bathmate and not sure by your description what the process is either. I know one has to be careful when it comes to copyright but is there anyway you can give a better idea of what the procedure is; I’m thinking a better understanding will result in more if not quality answers.

I kind of answered my question regarding using 2 hands to pump, it’s too strainful and unnecessary. One hand should be enough (wait 2-4 minutes and then try pumping again, once the penis has expanded a bit). Regarding the condom pumping, I’m still unsure.I’m going to give it a try and see how it feels, but given my inexperience with pumping I don’t think I can come out with a satisfying conclusion.

Below are the official instructions from their website, source is listed at the bottom (it also includes pictures)

Using bathmate in the bath
Fill the bath with water
Once your in the bath put the Bathmate under the water until it completely fills full of water, then whilst it is under the water put your penis inside it.
Push the bathmate down towards the pelvis area several times until you create a vaccum. You should start to feel the pressure building up. Surplus water starts to be realeased from the pressure release valve at the top of the bathmate. You may have to pump it down four of five times until no more water comes out the pressure release valve.
Once you cannot pump down any further just relax for 5 mins. Whenever you cannot pump the Bathmate down any further this is the optimum vaccum at that particular time.

Every 4 or 5 minutes try pump down again. As your penis is expanding this will force excess water from the top of the Bathmate everytime you pump down. But you will always reach a point where you cannot get any more pump.
Pump the Bathmate to it’s optimum vaccum when you feel necessary. This is the stage where no more water comes out the end when you try pump down.
If you feel the pressure is too much just lightly press the pressure release at the top of the Bathmate. This will release pressure. After 15 to 20 minutes release the pressure by pressing the pressure release at the top of the Bathmate and take the unit off. Do this stood up in the bath so you can see the results straight away. You won’t be dissapointed
We recommend between 15 to 20 minutes per session.
Use the unit as often as once a day but no less than three times a week for best results.

Using bathmate in the shower
Fill the bathmate with water from the shower
Hold the bottom of the bathmate to ensure water does not escape.
Place the penis inside the bathmate and push towards the body to create an air lock.
Continue your shower, remove hands to wash. Increase pressure
By pumping further if required.
After 15 minutes press the release valve at the end of the
Bathmate to release.
Continue to shower enjoying your new accustomed penis!

Interesting toy- thanks for the link.

I’d think that condom pumping would be redundant with water pumping- as I understand it the point is to keep a little pressure under the skin to reduce lymphatic buildup.

I’m thinking that you were overeager trying to build vacuum and defeated the slight pressure of the water that should have prevented the lymph buildup.

Thanks for the link Gotenkx. It looks like fun and a nice addition to my pump hardware, so I bought one. Will let you know how it goes when I receive it.

Yeah I was over eager.still am a bit lol, but I’m learning to control myself a bit more.

Gprent:
Just so you know, I was unhappy with their delivery service, they didn’t provide a tracking number, or answered my emails.I got a hold of the manager and he said they did sent replies but since I have a free email it didn’t go through for some reason. The delivery took longer than it should have. In case you haven’t ordered I would suggest you try this place instead

They seem to have better customer service.

P.s. I ordered around the Christmas season so perhaps that’s one of the reasons for their crappy service.

I’ve always preferred water pumping over dry pumping. Better, more even expansion, plus if you use warm water it’ll keep the penis heated. Also, there are claims of less bruising and less donut using water pumping. (Although you shouldn’t have to be pumping that high anyway).

Ooooo! Ooooo! A new toy! I want it! Thanks for the link. It does seem a little pricey, though.

Bathmate is a toy and you can’t expect what they guarantee on their site. I used it for 1 and half month with no results. I sent them a mail asking for information, no reply. I bought the electric vacutech hoping for better results.

I received mine a while back and I like wearing it while I take my morning shower. When I get in the shower I wash my cock first, then put on the bathmate and continue with my normal washing up. I don’t take it off until I have finished my shower and have pretty much dried off. It gives me a nice pump up to start the day off with and is very simple to use.

One note on mine though. Mine does have a small air leak which I believe is from the O-ring on the relief valve on the top of the cylinder and I haven’t been able to completely stop it. It is a very slow leak though and is not enough for me to worry about the cylinder losing pressure and dropping off while I am showering. Every once and a while I will give the cylinder a quick pump to fully restore the pressure. I try to point the cylinder as vertical as possible when doing this so that the air bubble goes up to the relief valve and is forced out when I pump up the pressure. If this doesn’t make sense now, it will when and if you have to do it. :)

There were a couple of pages of correspondence on the Bathmate a couple of years ago. Try doing a search on Bathmate and you can see the correspondence.

They did have a video demonstrating it and showing the ‘Gains’. But the guy was spretty well developd anyway and the size increase was just an erection.

But Gprent is well versed on pumping, so his comments will be well worth considering
