Water pump vs air pump

Gprent et al - any update on this toy?

I don’t have a pump, and the time + lube + strange equipment lying around issue make the Bathmate seem attractive. Is it worth it, does it get enough vacuum to actually give gains or just a nice bulge?

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

Primary goal: To have an EQ above average (i.e. streetsmart, compassionate about life and happy) Secondary goal: to make an anagram of my signature denoting how I feel about my gains

I agree. It looks like it could be very descrete.

Are the dimensions 8” long and 2.25”. Also is there an american site?

Yes, look at the site and you’ll find the sister sites - US, UK, Sweden, Finland etc.

mgus - it looks to me like they have redesigned the bathmate recently. Some kind of gauge on it, maybe a little better construction.

There’s a valve at the top, but I see no gauge?

Where is the gauge? I see on the shaft it has some numbers to the right….can’t read what it says though. It starts at 90 and goes up to 200. Is this soeme kind of pressure gauge?

The numbers are the length, so that you can see how long you are in the tube.

The only thing they talk about is the one-way relief valve at the top. Which means that the max negative pressure you get is equal to the max springy-ness of the rubber sheath.

This thing is really appealing to me because of the "all in one" and discrete factor.

On the other hand, I have the Harbor Freight Brake Bleeder pump, which would work fine for water pumping. I am sure you could find something similar in Sweden at an auto parts store. Here is a picture of it:

The brake fluid reservoir would collect any water and prevent damage to the pump.

My main problem is I am either too lazy to set it up or too pressed for time to set it up. I am stealth, so my time is limited. The one time I tried water there were too many steps to go through. There was also water left in the hose that did not evaporate for days.

So that makes the bathmate attractive. The price gives me pause, though, every time I think about ordering it.

On the other hand, writing this makes me realize that my best bet is to make two sets of hoses. (why didn’t I think of this before!?!?).

One set for air pumping, one set for water pumping. The only think I will need to buy to do this is an additional Male connector for connecting hose to cylinder.

Yea I was thinking that. Couldn’t you just attack another hose on the Bathmate? Or maybe just even a water pressure gauge? I searched some of these ethings online yesterday and was thinking. This product is really cool, but would be so much better with a gauge.

The only thing is the pressure wouldn’t be straight through there…right? (if that were on the side). This could be a very fun project.

You could probably do that if you modified the bathmate somehow. Would it work? who knows????

I am going to start a new thread addressed specifically to bathmate users to see if we can get some more info on how they manage pressure.

Bathmate Users — how do you manage pressure?

Special tools like that are - for some reason that I don’t quite know - very expensive in Sweden, like 3-4 times the price. I’d be better off ordering it from the US and pay customs. Better yet, order something from the UK.

Is there any new information on water versus air pumping? Is one better for length gains? Is one better for permanent gains? And is one safer? Any information can help out in my decision.
