Is starting out lesser necessarily better

I am about to headstart into a full fledged pe routine, I’ve read that applying more force initially leads to increasing an even greater force to deform the penis down the road. So is it wise to start out with half the reps of the newbie routine? Even so shall I switch it to a 5days on and 2days off or the usual 2days on and 1day off?

Hmmm… having actually lost girth because I went too fast, I would say just stick with the standard newbie routine for two months. Even if you don’t see any gains during those two months, the newbie routine with condition your penis for more a more advanced/intense routine.

As I’ve heard others say, it’s better to under train than over train. Over training can cause permanent injuries, whereas under training at worst will do nothing.

I am doing a newbie routine doing only about 90 jelqs. I have done it for a month and have had some gains with it.

It is similar to this:

NEW newbie + advanced routine

Good Luck!

The newbie routine is a light routine intended to progressively become more intense, so just follow that and you’ll be okay.

What’s bad is people doing advanced, more intense excercises before finishing the newbie routine.

What I’m mean is(I think I did’nt explain properly), is it not better to start off even much lighter? I’ve heard many saying that they should have started out lighter(newbie routine) so that they can continue the newbie gains even longer?

The people saying they should have started out lighter were they doing the Newbie routine?

If you’re hesitant to jump into the Newbie routine for fear of injury then start out lighter and work up to the Newbie Routine. The typical response on this board is not to do more than the Newbie routine. Starting out doing less is up to you.

What it comes down to is the amount of force you use. Try to keep your hand pressure in the moderate range and stick to the newbie routine. People that get in trouble with the basic newbie routine are using way too much hand pressure.

Yup those people were doing the regular newbie routine. What they lament about is that they should have tried an even lighter newbie routine. Perhaps a 100wet jelqs instead of 200. Slowly gaining pace means slower time to hit pleateu. And extended gaining period. I know I’m putting this all too simple that it sounds stupid. But yeah.

Understood. Doing the reps slowly may also decrease the pressure? Because if I hold the grip tight I tend to do the rep at a faster pace? Am I right to say this?

I’m trying to use as little force as possible. I’m focusing solely on length gains.

Absolutely true.

Well said.

Before: I'd like to show you something I'm very proud of, but you'll have to move real close.

After: I\'d like to show you something I\'m very proud of, but you guys in the front row will have to stand back.

The first signs of using too much force are the little red spots, usually on the head, which are burst capillaries. As long as you are not getting these, you are in the safe range. Even if you do get a few red spots, it is not the end of the world, but a sign that you have reached your pressure limit.

Evergrowing,

Sta-kool is not the only one, as you may have found.

I know I am using too much force, or too tight of a grip, when the head of my penis starts to ache. For me, even the very slightest ache is a sign I am doing it too hard.

Sept. 4, '07: BPEL 6.875 inches, EG widest 5.25

Goal: Double digits

Read this thread through and let us know what you think about a lesser routine.

Kevin’s log…or soon to be “Log”

Dec \'23 -> Feb\'24 17.5cm -> 18.5cm BPEL / 12.7cm -> 13.1 MSEG / 18.5cm -> 18.9cm BPFSL (measuring in mm for accuracy)

My First Real Attempt:

2006 Start: 6.25" BPEL and 5" EG - 2012 7.625" BPEL / 4.875" EG / 8.063" BPFSL. (All manual routine)

Yes, kingdingaling is right, I definitely should have referenced both chronostone's and kevin12's progress report.

But I felt funny about it without asking them. However since chronostone has posted here in your thread, here they both are:

chronostone — Movin On Up

Kevin12 — Kevin’s log…or soon to be "Log"

Basically both of these guys started with "harsher" routines, but at some point switched to more "gentle" routines.
When they switched to "gentler" routines, the gains started coming.

I am pretty much just following in their footsteps with my light newbie routine. Be sure to check out their reports. There is a lot of interesting stuff in them, as well as in that NEW newbie + advanced routine

Best of luck!
