“How many of you DON’T use gauges?”
I bought my pumping gear in 1989 and pump had/has no gauge.
I’ve never had any problems…blisters, discoloration, etc.
Since this thread has questions about seal.
I do not like lube!!! My first cylinder was 1 3/4 x 8” with recessed inner walls….lube was unnecessary to get my dick into cylinder. When I ordered a new 1 3/4 x 8” cylinder from LAPD…..I didn’t use it for 9 mos because I needed to lube my dick.
At Robert Young’s Phoenix5 site, for men with prostate cancer and their companions…I read a post about a fellow who used shave cream….I tried it and I haven’t looked back..that’s been nearly two years now. This allow me to really “pack”. Under vacuum the shave cream will foam up some to make a seal between my dick base and inner cylinder wall.
I pull up a vacuum…after awhile loosen top valve and milk my dick in cylinder….pull up another vacuum…get up and walk around, refill coffee mug, wrap towel around me….step out and get paper.
Ninety percent of time I’m pumping while at computer.
Maybe once a week I ramp up into a 2 x 9” cylinder.
For me two advantages of pumping without a gauge is that occasionally I put warm water in cylinder and pump wet….I don’t have to worry about water going into line/pump.
Pumping with shave cream, I find it unnecessary to rinse cylinder out that frequently. Shave cream has antimicrobial components….so I let shave cream coat inner walls of cylinder some…then I wet my dick in glass of water….slide in and begin pumping.
After awhile shave cream will foam up to end and bled into line….I just put line in warm water…flush line and pump out.
Just my experiences…
