It would have been $6 shipping for just the one item, so I cancelled for now, and will spend some time looking for other stuff to include in my order to offset the cost of shipping. Even buying 2 connectors would make sense. I saw they have gauges and numerous other things that would interest pumpers.
My plan is to use the Whisper 30/60 with a digital timer. I will set the timer to go on and off at let’s say every 5 minutes. So I would get my 4.2 Hg’s for 5 minutes, and then when the timer shut off for 5 minutes, and the vacuum would slowly decrease just due to normal leakage, then the pump would come on for 5 minutes and go back to 4.2 Hg’s for 5 minutes. I think a person could keep this up for maybe an hour, but I would start at a half hour, and gradually work up. There would be replacement of blood every cycle. Meanwhile I could be reading, eating, talking on the phone, or doing stuff on the computer.
Now, I may have to add some sort of vacuum sensor, and maybe put the whole thing in some sort of box with a nice gauge, so I will wait to see what all I might have to order from Mcmaster to finish the project.
I am only running half of my Whisper 30/60 because other posts said that they didn’t get an increase vacuum running both sides. I took the parts out of the other side, and I am saving them. For now I think 4.2 Hg’s will be enough, but I may want more in the future, so I may try running both sides to see if I get the same results (isn’t that the definition of crazy).
