Ahhh Razor Burn

Ahhh Razor Burn

I tried shaving the pubes near the base of my penis to prevent pulling during dry jelqs.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to avoid the irritating redness?

Easiest way is to use a nice, viscous conditioner as a “shaving cream” if you’re using any of the Gillette or Schick style multiple blade razors. Get the cheapest bottle out of a dollar store cosmetics department. It’ll last and prevent the burn.

Now: 9" BPEL x 6.25" MSEG as of 11/10/2019 This is my story, a few progress pics of me here, and all my methods.

Then: 6.25" x 4.37" in 8/2009 Are you new to PE? Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

My Extender and forward to 10" and balls enhancement project. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *10* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith.

This is my main reason for not shaving my shaft or pubes totally off! I usually just trim it real short with a trimmer (using the shortest attachment - 1/16 of an inch). This prevents irritation of the skin on my shaft and also prevents the stubble, you’d normally get from shaving, from poking my shaft.

But if you must make sure you use enough shaving cream so you aren’t removing too much of the superficial skin while shaving with the razor. I would also recommend Nivea aftershave balm. This is a little expensive but its very nice in terms of moisturizing as well as soothing my skin post-shaving.

Hello MrSceptical

Been shaving my pubes region including the ass-crack for over twenty years.

I am using a multi-blade razor (5 blades from Wilkinson) that includes a balm strip against skin irritation. And as foam, the Gilette Venus (in the female department of the shops) as it’s more cream-like than male foams which are just …foamy. I think the foam for women has been foreseen for intimate shaving.

After shaving, I did take Nivea aftershave balm. But it contains some alcohol which can irritate the skin. So I switched to Nivea Aftersun lotion which is nice and cooling without containing alcohol.

But if you want to be baby-skin-like smooth and silky, then there is one thing that really works: sugaring (aka Brazilian waxing). Did it a couple of times and have been very satisfied with the results. It’s just a matter of costs: at my place it’s about 100US$ per treatment every 6 weeks, so I considered it too expensive as long-term thing. But everybody knows that Switzerland has high costs for everything, it just follows our average salaries and wealth. :-(

Thanks for the feed back. I will definitely take special care in the future. Shaving cream over soap will hopefully make a difference.
