That agrees with my experience. And I’ve extended duration over intensity, going by the idea that time under tension is more important than tension itself.

So how long are yours pumping sessions?

I worked up from 5, to 20, and now to 30 minutes. I can handle 40 or 45 now, but I need another shutoff timer. Come to think of it, that might be a good project for one of the spare Arduino boards I have… somewhere. Maybe.

I don’t *have* to have a timer, but I sometimes get distracted or fall asleep. Having the pump shut off automatically means not waking up to major edema.

Do you have a vacuum motor in mind that is compatible with an Arduino board ?

I tried just pumping at the beginning of May, but I stopped 2 weeks in. I’ve been on and off with PE from 2013. I have all the equipment from total man and 3 different size chambers for pumping. I just can never find the time to consistently do PE.

When I was trying this last month, I was trying the method of "thetiltist" (I don’t quite remember if that’s the name or if I got the spelling. Gonna check back with that, but he has a long feed and just pumps and jelqs).

I’ve tried hanging but I don’t like it and the time and privacy needed for that, I don’t have. I like pumping. I also have the hydro pump that I don’t ever use lol. I wanna start the journey again, not sure when though. When I was pumping on a daily I would do 2 15 minute sessions at 5ph-6ph, which seems to be too much. So when I’m going for it again I’m gonna cut that time and maybe go with 4ph.

I love PE, I just wish I could be as consistent as I want to. When I pump I’m around 7.4 inches, and when I leave it for 10-15 minutes it gets up to 8.1" everytime. Then I’d clamp for 15 and that makes me look huge. But it messes up my EQ unless I rest for a day or 2, I noticed that rest is very vital in PE.

Well that’s enough of me rambling, and this is my first post on here lol.

Discoloration largely resolved so went again. Same pattern, a little more length but packed less. Pulling an erection in the morning has become short work.

Weight: 185 @ 19.7% bodyfat

Somehow managed not to gain weight even with the inactivity from the foot injury. Foot feels better will try to get a short run in today.

I have an add-on board for the Arduino that has some relays, supposedly more than stout enough to handle the load of the "breast pump" I’m currently using, which runs on 12v with a transformer. I’d have to look up the relay specs to see if they would handle AC, like with an aquarium pump.

Length about the same, packed a little more than the last session. There is discoloration some time post session that clears up by the morning. Waking up to morning wood and pulling up the erection for the tube is shockingly quick. Is this the pumping or getting away from the stretching or a combination of both? I’m thinking it’s mostly the pumping.

Weight: 184.6 @ 19.7% body fat

Was able to run 3.5 miles yesterday, foot has a lot more healing to do, will go 3.5 again tomorrow and wait till Sunday to go longer. I want to go a little bit leaner this year calculations say I need to take off ~ 8.5 lbs of fat. Below 17% bodyfat I look pretty good though, I have a certain standard for myself and I’ve been away from that for too long.

If you’ve never been in shape all I can tell you is get in shape. It’s not just how you look but it’s the mind set, the way you feel is completely different.

Yea I hear you about staying in shape. I’ve always lifted weights was always lean till I had kids. I still lift weights pretty consistently but have really started taking cardio seriously. My goal is 20-30 minutes of cardio 5 times a week. It’s tough because I been dealing with major shin splints from running. I been stretching like crazy and it seems too be helping. I usually run 3-5 mile’s depending on how bad my shins are hurting

If you’re into pumping check out Bigupsplus9 thread how much is enough. He went from 7-9 in a year and a half mostly all pumping. He’s super big on daily cardio as well and believes that’s why gained so much so quick

Because I was seeing some post session discoloration I decided to try a little less pressure. 3.5in/hg resulted in just about the same expansion. So I think I’ll stay there for a while and see if there is progression and give the tissues a chance to get conditioned.

Ran 5.5 miles slow. Foot still hurts.

Tried 3 hg today to see the impact on post session discoloration. A little less expansion though.

So less pronounced discoloration with the 3 hg, might be dealing with residual effects, we’ll see how it goes from here. I think it’s just a process to sort it out. IMO I should have started with lighter pressures and worked up.

So in reading the suggestions of the veterans here the best way to deal with the petechiae is to take a week off and let things heal So I’m going to do that. The thing that I noticed not just now but also previously when I tried pumping is the red dots only form on the portion of the shaft that does not pack. So I noticed that there are 4.9cm" diameter tubes available which is about a quarter inch smaller diameter than the 5.1cm" tube I’m using now so I ordered one of those. We’ll see if that helps.

I thought about the 1.75"(4.4cm) tube I just don’t think it would fit because of the base girth.

I have to say I was really encouraged by the rate of progression of the expansion in the tube, I just need tp deal with the petechiae.

We’ll try a smaller diameter tube and we’ll come back to it and modulate the time and pressure to operate below the level of the red dot formation as the conditioning of the tissues will allow.

Foot is better we’ll run a little longer today.
