Probably pushed it a little bit on the tension given the recent tug back response but managed to get the duration. What I have found is that when facing the tug back response the way through it is to get the duration up and then work the tension back in. So today was good. Looking in the next 3 weeks to keep the duration up and work through it.
In the past sometimes there has been more than one tug back response with a given extender length addition and I am prepared for that. I’m thinking that I will drop the manual stretching for now as I want a little more precision in pushing through this as I have better defined protocols with the extender.
I have come to a place that I have an anecdotal theory that the sweet spot is indeed right in that zone where the tension and time just triggers the tug back response. That this indicates that the work is right at the point at which accommodation is elicited. And I interpret this as a protective response when some of the tissues are stressed to the point of elongation. Furthermore I think we need to be careful here as too much force will simply strengthen the tissues providing the protective response or will not allow those tissues to relent and thus thwart accommodation.
I’m going to finish this last addition and then I’m going to revisit what role this is going to have in my life. These 1/8” additions take an extended effort for which I find the juice is no longer worth the squeeze.
I will certainly continue with a robust effort for some time after to consolidate the progress. And after that I will continue with a modest use of methods for maintenance and health..
But first things first, lets get this done!
