Correct use Of FIR pad
Had an Aroma Season pad for a few days now. Recommended by Science Guy as a good pad with good heat. That it has.. I can’t use it on the 3rd setting against my skin, it gets far too hot.
My question is how tightly are we supposed to be wrapping these pads? The tighter I wrap, the heat I feel at skin level increases greatly. Thinking that must be conductive heat as even though the pad is IR, the surface temp still gets very hot. Do we need to feel any conductive heat from FIR pads? Or can we ignore skin temperature and trust in the penetration of infra red? Would this allow us to wrap more loosely with a higher setting potentially getting deeper heat?
Could we also separate pad from skin with a silicone sleeve and rely on getting the advertised temps deep in the tissue?
Long winded but I’m sure many wonder the same so worth throwing down.
Cheers
