It happened.outgrew the pump today

So, did my weekly pumping session (pump about once per week for fun / to keep things fresh). I knew I was getting close to outgrowing it, but was hoping I could keep using the pump a bit longer. I bought it in a 50% off sale around July, so a bit of a bummer that it didn’t last even a year.

This is a BathMate Hercules, so just be aware if you are like me with a starting BPEL of 6.9 (currently 7.4), it MIGHT not last you very long. I just hit a slight growth spurt today, and went too far into the top section that starts to flare inwards (less room at the top). Since I’m not going for girth, this pump is now losing value for me as I’m focusing on more length for a while.

Anyway, both good and bad news I guess. Thanks for reading my (rant?)

Take it as a positive sign. I keep a few of my outgrown bits of gear. Reminders of accomplishments and good motivation.

Congratulation on you gains. I bought my pump cylinders to increase the size of my dick. I figure when I have to replace the cylinder that I have accomplished a significant goal and I am more than happy to buy a bigger cylinder and figure that the money I paid for the outgrown cylinder was well spent. In fact, I am thrilled that I need a larger cylinder. Currently I am on my fifth cylinder.

OP what’s your fatpad? Just wondering since I have the same pump, but at 7.5-7.75” BPEL I haven’t maxed it out yet (I’m about 10mm from making it to the part that narrows.

Never looked at outgrowing a pump as a bad thing….only as an accomplishment.

Fat pad is around 0.5” I think. I’m on the thin / ectomorph body type, but like lots of other guys here, since starting PE I’ve decided to improve the rest of me and I have been hitting the gym regularly for 6 months now. Haven’t seen results that I’m happy with, so gonna look into a personal trainer soon.

Back to the pump though, I think the key factor for me is BPFSL which is 8.0” right now. In the tube I tend to expand to around my BPFSL not my BPEL. I recently saw a slight increase to 8.1 BPFSL (I haven’t made this official since it’s only a single measurement at this point), and this is where I went too far up into that top section. I slightly entered it at 8.0, but at 8.1 I’m getting resistance such that I think I won’t be able to easily push farther up into that section.so.time for a new pump.

As the nice PE’ers have mentioned in this thread, I guess I should take it as a positive, so woohoo! I’m just a huge tight-wad so a pump I expected to last me MUCH longer, only lasting half a year bummed me out a bit, but it really is great news. Thanks for helping me see that everyone!
