Have you checked out this thread? It’s a different approach to hanging that takes into consideration the biomechanics of the tunica to determine a customized routine to optimize tunica strain without the side effect of connective tissue toughening.

Portions of the session are done without heat and portions with heat, and there is an incremental increase in weight over the course of the session that is based on calculated tension rates that are determined by your flaccid girth. You measure pre and post workout flaccid stretch length to determine percentage strain for each workout. When the strain numbers start to fall you take a deconditioning break to allow the tissues to soften up again. In this way the approach to a plateau isn’t increasing weight to break through, but rest that will enable a return to good post-session strain percentage again.

Most guys use much less weight with this technique and those reporting back have had good results. I’ve been using this technique for a few weeks now and so far have been pleased with the results and am glad to be using much less weight than I previously would. It’s too early for me to report success, but the trend line is going in the right direction. Might be worth a consideration if you are already having some concerns about overdoing things.

Hello, I’m back. I developed some sort of tendonitis in my ligament from overdoing it so I took a complete rest. It took probably around 1.5 months until I stopped feeling discomfort there.

I am starting back again. This time I have micro plates so not such big jumps.

Starting with hanging just 3 pounds, 40 minutes today. An hour tomorrow.
