Mushroom Head Pumping consideration

New pumper here with something to think about when cylinder sizing. I was at about 5.3” MEG when choosing my cylinder size. Since I wanted to initially focus on length I went with a 1.75” cylinder even though that cylinder only has space for 5.5” of girth. One thing I didn’t consider though, is that my head is actually a bit larger than my MEG girth, and that means I’m having difficulty even getting into the cylinder fully erect. I’m also packing the cylinder completely from top to bottom right from the get-go. I probably should have gone with the larger cylinder size anyway, but had I considered my oversized glans I would have for sure not made this mistake.

So measure the girth of your head and buy a cylinder based on that. Most cylinder sizing tables base the tube size on max shaft girth but for you you can use the same sizing table but just use your head girth to select cylinder size.

This is my issue at the moment. I have a 1.75 inch tube, abs my shaft girth is more or less around 5 inch. But my head is definitely bigger, and so my head is starting to pack the tube while my shaft isn’t. Not only that, but as my head starts to pack the tube, that’s really stopping my shaft from getting the vacuum necessary to expand it to pack the tube. Looks like I’ll be grabbing a 2 inch soon just because of my head.

Which kind of sucks, because packing at least the base is important for a good seal and helps with success. So I’m kind of stuck in the middle.

Doesn’t the base of you cock begin to pack when the head does? When that happens, switch to your future 2” tube and continue pumping. :)

Yes your correct the base does pack about an inch more or less. So Ya I guess I could do that. Just not sure how easy or how much I will start packing the base of the 2inch tube but I’ll just have to see. Thanks Gprent, always swift with the pump help.
