I’m Reticulated. Currently 26, 180cm.
I like to experiment on myself and learn. Whether that’s some kind of substance with an interesting background or some new implant, I value primary research highly. There’s a lot of nuance in most things that just can’t be communicated well over text.

I’ve known about PE (jelqing and hand stretches) since the age of 11, however have not done anything until now.
Generally, I’m plenty happy with the size I have. I’ve had validation from women, and a couple instances where I was just too big.

That is, until I spent three months abroad in 2017 and had a week of ~40°C heat without any AC. One particular day, I woke up and my dick was significantly wider than usual. To the point I couldn’t close my hand around it, which was exhilarating. It passed after a day or two, and I knew I would want to recreate the feeling eventually.
If I had to estimate based on my experience now, I’d say I was ~16.75cm MSEG at the time.

I started ordering equipment at the start of 2021, realising that the pandemic is the perfect time to start something like this. Learn the ropes, build the habit, integrate it into normal life.
I’ve spent many hours reading and trying to relate others’ experiences back to my own.

I’ve had most of my inventory since April 2021, and experimented here and there. A few days of newbie routine, a few days of air pumping on/off, more days water pumping, few days clamping, sometimes mixing it up.
Nothing particularly structured, lots of enjoyment and amazement at temporary results.

So here I am - choosing to start my journey more seriously, in pursuit of learning more about my penis and ensuring it’s healthy, happy, and hella fun for the foreseeable future.

Starting:
BPEL - 18.5cm
MSEG - 15.2cm

Inventory:
Three LAP cylinders of increasing diameter, min 22cm long
300W Infrared heat lamp
Cable Clamp
Various silicone cock rings / sleeving

Notes on water pumping convenience:

By far, my favorite way to water pump is to use mouth pressure.
LAP’s included pump comes connected to a tube with a quick-release fitting, which I removed from the pump.

- Wear no pants/underwear, keep socks.
- Prepare cylinder (thoroughly clean, connect tube, hold against cylinder with a finger, such that the tube end is above the cylinder opening)
- Run hot water until it’s “just about comfortable”; repeatedly filling the cylinder and testing with my penis.
- Insert penis, and suck out / let water overflow. Try to get penis well-centered to avoid discomfort.
- Holding the tube firmly to prevent air from entering, pull suction on the tube by sucking water out.
- Pinch tube, spit water and repeat until “secure but not stretched”.
- When happy, pull light extra suction with your mouth while disconnecting the tube.
- Careful, don’t wanna swallow dick-bigger-water now.
- Get comfy and pump. Probably ungracefully.
- Increase suction as desired by pinching the tube hard, pulling a vacuum with your mouth, and attaching the tube again before unpinching. This takes some getting used to, but you’ll probably /not/ make a huge mess doing it provided you have prepared to spit the water somewhere. Block the tube with your tongue for a perfect hold whilst you contemplate life.
- Releasing the vacuum at the end of the session can either be done by attaching the tube, or by unscrewing the connector from the cylinder. The latter is quicker and more comfortable IMO.

Now, I usually do a 15 minute session with an infrared heater.
End-to-end, from intent to fully-dressed again, this takes 25 minutes!
Very convenient for getting in time between calls or activities.

PS. I wrote-off air pumping for my penis, as I am uncircumcised and even low pressure quickly builds edema.

I don’t have a gauge for my water pump routine, which is not ideal I’m aware. I would actually love a lightweight, waterproof inline gauge, but I’m not sure that exists as a product.

I’ve been using marks on the cylinder as a guideline for my stretch. As long as my PI are good I’ll stick with that without really caring to measure the absolute value 💪

Well, I see you have started with a method that I am confident is 100% unique. I am sure you will continue to make adjustments as you gain experience. So good luck and may the gains be in your future.

The easiest way to water pump with a gauge is to leave an air pocket at the top of the cylinder to prevent water getting into the pump.

For air pumping the best way to keep edema under control is to use 5inhg as your max vacuum pressure.

Yeah, 😅 - I guess it’s pretty unique. Certainly convenient though, and means I’m never missing out on heat.

I’m not so confident about leaving an air pocket; I read through that massive “Physics of water pumping” thread and decided that, even if no outcome was empirically decided on, that it was best to have a homogeneous pumping medium. (Both to save the pump, and to make my life a little easier)
There are a few papers published that document differences in hydraulic performance when air pockets are involved, which lead me to this conclusion.

Even air pumping at 5 inHg, I noticed a noticeable buildup of edema after 15 minutes. Frustration at this was what pushed me to use (and fully convert to) water pumping.
There I’m able to feel a similar stretch, measure similar post-pump results, without much donutting nor unevenness.
I put this down to my penis more than air pumping, as I have a lot of foreskin to pull on.

I can tell you from personal experience and knowing established water pumping techniques, that water pumping using an air pocket works perfectly fine. You can also use a water trap container to keep water out of the pump. I am not aware of a penis pump with or without a gauge that can handle water without being ruined. You know when you create the vacuum using your mouth, your mouth and lungs are effectively acting as the air pocket. Think about it. 🤔

Totally on board with what you’re saying, you’re not wrong - up until the last point.
That “mouth/lung air pocket” is temporary and only involved when the tube is connected, which is only when changing pressures. That comparison doesn’t work here.

Regardless; this method gives me good PI & post-pump results, and as far as I understand it’s safe. I think that should be fine. I look forward to reporting back!
