Slow And Steady -- DatGhuy's Journey

My method:
I started on the extremely light side for a three sets of 50 dry jelqs and two sets of 30 second stretches. The whole purpose of this was to teach me patience and discipline before moving forward.

I decided to use reps and sets because of my bodybuilding background and I value quality over quantity. I understand some people do jelqs for time, but I’m sure I’d get lazy that way. I really hone in and make every jelq or second count in my exercises.

Starting Stats and Routine:
January 11, 2018
Dry Jelq: 3x50
Stretch: 2x30
EL: 6in
EG: 4.75in

Current Stats and Routine:
April 24, 2018
Dry Jelq: 3x100, 1x75
Stretch: 4x30, 1x10
EL: 6.45 - 6.5in
ELPB: 7in
EG: 4.875in

Seems like a good approach and is actually similar to what I have been doing.

The slow and simple method has really kept me on track. The hardest part about PE is staying consistent and staying on top of yourself — well, I think anyways.



Just a small update here. I play on updating every Monday or every other Monday.

Here’s a little further in depth look at my routine:
I do two days on and one day off, this follows similarly to my lifting routine. The only difference is that I take two days off at the end of the week for my lifts. If I do find my EQ dropping, I will take an additional day or two off.

The rest periods between jelqs and stretches allows me think if I need to make any quick tweaks. “Was I stretching hard enough to feel some mild discomfort in the ligs? Was I at the proper EQ during my jelqs to really make them count?” and other questions like that. It also keeps the blood flowing and makes it feel less like a chore and more like proper exercise.

How it’s going so far:
I have gotten to the point where the intensity is enough to cause some mild soreness the day after. The only issue I have had, and no longer an issue thankfully, was my frenulum was injured twice during my first two months. The issue was resolved by reducing skin pull on the down portion of the jelq. It was extra irritating because I am circumcised and would rub the inside of my underwear.

I totally agree with you on consistency. I can stay motivated and consistent knowing I can get my routine done in say 10-15 minutes. And I am still seeing results in BPFSL. For me I think long intense routines have a somewhat negative effect on me. I like the slow and steady.

It’s been a while since I last posted but I’m still going strong. I’m hoping I measured correctly, but it looks like my EG has finally broke 4.875in and has reached 5in. If I can keep the momentum up, I’ll reach where I want in no time.

Small little update here:
Progress is still going good. I decided to reduce stretching down to the most bare and basic form. I only stretch upwards and straight out. This is for simplicity sake and I have a bad tendency to over stretch when pulling to the left and right.

I’m currently doing 3 days on, one day off. I wanted to add more working days before I added more daily volume. No negative PIs yet.

It’s been roughly two weeks since my last journal update but I come with good news and progress.

No major gains since I measured being 6.25 and 5in around. The good news is that my girth is now starting to become average along the entire length. I was 5in at the base the last time I measured but was still below 5in along other points on the shaft. Now the smallest girth is ~4.95in so it’s safe to say I’m 5in now.

Side note. It’s hanging completely differently now and it actually bugged me at first. I thought I was hard at the time but my flaccid seems to have gotten noticeably longer. I’m not use to feeling it rest along my thigh. I’m kind of giddy about it.
