Thrombosis, enlarged dorsal vein
Couldn’t post in the injury section due to me being a new user.
18 days ago I injured my penis while having sex, I felt an odd sensation during vigorous cowgirl and my penis became flaccid instantly. Went to the ER the same night and left a urine sample, had a doctor examine and was told to let it rest. The next day I sought out medical care at a different location, was basically told the same thing.
The day after this I got an emergency appointment scheduled at a urologist, whom examined me a bit more thoroughly and told me to let it rest. Was told to take ibuprofen 400mg 3x/day for 2 weeks. Last day on this treatment was Friday 2 days ago.
My situation still basically looks the same. I have been told that there’s some sort of inflammation going on in the vein, or in the vein/vessel “walls” I believe the urologist said.
It’s a vein located on the right upper side of the penis, it starts at the pubic region and travels forwards to the middle of the penis where it sort of “splits”, going down on the right side where it disappears. The vein has “skin” color.
This vein is prominent during flaccid and erected state, it’s rubbery in texture, not rock hard but definitely more hardened than usual. I’m having a hard time feeling a pulse in it when I press down, and I wouldn’t say that there are noticeable bumps in it. Its sensitive to touch but it doesn’t hurt as much as it did the first 2 days or so, but the area and the vein feels more tender and sensitive than usual. Been staying away from sex and masturbating.
Anyone suffered anything similar? How long did it take for it to heal? I’ll post some pictures of my penis in flaccid and erected state.
