A little Background.
25 years old,
Great penile health pre pump.
Starting size 6.5”+ By 3.5”+,
Masturbate typically in the AM and PM, there is not normally a break in this routine,
Intercourse once a day, 3 on 1-3 off.
So maybe I started with a penis that already needed rest, ( I realized this now that I’ve found this form and I felt like the damage was already done in the beginning)

My wife and I are very active and enjoy sex.
We are always trying the next thing from the store.
I got a generic $30 pump and got my wife a vaginal pump. We got all hot and bothered, tons of four play then I put the pump on went until I felt some pull and left it until that felt like there was no pressure.
Long story short, each time I give more vac pressure, it was great I got to 7 1/4” and almost filled the tube girth wise witch said 4” in the sideways measurements.

Sweet I’m hooked, I love plowing my wife with an even bigger hammer than normal. Problem being she loved it, I loved it, so for a few days in the beginning I didn’t go to extreme just go until the thing wouldn’t pump and more. By this time I found this page and was only looking at techniques not really any side effects.
After getting a new bigger pump with a gauge, better hand pump and probably 15 -20 session in a month and a half’ish, we were drinking and I went a little to hard, the next day I had a puff section of the ring of skin below the head and a bruise on the other side, also noticed I’ve stop getting morning wood and it’s harder to get hard. (First thought was, why did I have to go and mess up a good thing, FML.),. Have not touched it since, that was about a week ago.

I still didn’t know about the whole “rest and don’t touch it thing”, until this morning.
So, I’ve been beating my meat my two times a day and banging my wife as much as she will give it up.
Then found the injury pages, I went from “it’s okay buddy the lanolin and vaginal fluids will nurse you back to health to a double FML.

While I’m sure I’ll be fine, I just wanted to post my story since I didn’t find one close enough in the forum to convince me I’ll be fine.

Since the problem started and you stopped using the pump, did any of the symptoms get significantly worse or any better in the week that you’ve continued having sex and masturbating?

There’s been some posts where people with injuries said that they felt it would be better to just continue with normal sexual activity and ended up being fine. The idea of completing leaving it alone is a theory at best with little to no evidence. I would honestly say your initial gut reaction to just go on as normal was probably the best thing to do.

The bruise got better as it should, its pretty much gone now.

The morning woods are scarce still, and after 3 minutes in to a blow job the other night and my dick was not hard my wife said, “you did break your dick”..

I haven’t been able to completely leave it alone.
My wife is 23. I’m 25 and used to be always ready, so I am adjusting.
Hopefully with a new week I can start over with my
“Letting it rest”.
I have a strong feeling it is a 50/50 for us.
Some of us have to leave it alone and others will be okay to keep on keeping on.

Maybe that has something to do with the level of abuse you’ve put it through possibly?.

I’m not sure. I feel like the only way to gain 100% functionality back for myself is leave it alone.

Maybe if the issue is from inflammation leaving it alone could speed up the process for it to go away, but if it’s from structural damage then rest and rehabilitation might be best. I’ve seen some threads where guys have tried resting for like eight months with no improvements, so I don’t want to see more people drive themselves crazy with unnecessary, extended periods of rest.

For a minor injury (over training/fatigue/inflammation) a brief period of rest makes sense, but for long term injuries the evidence isn’t there, and people have been posting about injuries since like 2003. Plus if you leave it alone for really long you aren’t getting as much blood flow which could end up helping for some injuries.

Unfortunately right now you wouldn’t know for certain if an extended period of rest will help unless you try it, so if you feel it’s something you want to do then it’s up to you.
