Kegels, any side effects?

I’ve been on treatment for hemorhoids. I had a doctor check them and measured it up at .7 cm in diameter. He wanted to get rid of it surgically but I pleaded no because I still have classes and simply cannot afford to be bedridden or weakened.

Then I read about kegels here. I thought about doing while I study and stuff. What I noticed was that after a few weeks when I had a check-up with my doc concerning my rhoids it balloned to 1.9 cm.

Any one who has this same experience or is it my imagination that is playing with me. (or pure forgetfulness, dunno what triggered it though)

Need help before I can continue with this…

I guess it’s possible that squeezing muscles in that area might have an influence on hemorrhoids, but I think it would be unusual. I’ve had hemorrhoids for years and have been doing Kegels, too. Mine get larger when I strain on the toilet, but then they reduce in size. Doing Kegels doesn’t seem to make them larger or smaller. Perhaps your trip to the doctor happened after you’d put some pressure on yours?

You can learn to do Kegels without squeezing your anus. It isn’t necessary to squeeze that hard to get the benefit of the exercise. Try to do a slow one and see if you can feel the contraction in the BC muscle before the anal muscles start to contract. Learn how to control it so only the BC is squeezed, then you won’t have to be concerned if squeezing your anal sphincter is causing any problems with your ‘rhoids.

Maybe it’s because I’m doing kegels wrong. I mean, I read that you do it without moving you buttock muscles.

I also had hemorrhoids for a long time, but I would not go to surgery, as I had some friends who did it, and it solved the problem only for some time, as they rebuild. Not to mention the torture they had been through for some months. I also do kegels, and actually find it helping to reduce the hemorrhoids. One thing that I noticed, though, is that masturbation has bad effects on their development, a few minutes after ejaculating I have pains. So I reduced my masturbation sessions to 1-2 a month (I am away from home for a year). Strangely, this problem does not happen when you have regular sex, not even when you get a hand job from a woman. Maybe someone can explain this. My advice: don’t stop kegels, but reduce masturbating, if you do it.

I was always afraid of doing my PC-training wrong. The reason is as follows: I can tense my muscle 1.30-2.00 minutes, but on the other hand - there is this effect when you move your dick tensing your pc-muscle and holding my dick up tensing the muscle i just make it to some seconds!

Is this normal or didn’t i hit my PC-muscle right yet?

Yes, haemorrhoids can be aggravated by straining at the toilet, also when cleaning up with Toilet paper can make them extremely sore.

A bidet is a good answer to that but not every house has one, but using the toilet as a bidet can be helpful. With about 2 gallons of water coming down, it takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it it is much preferable to the normal way of doing things

I started using this some 30 years ago when there was a total shortage of T paper in the UK. It just could not be got at any price. So after using everything in sight I thought of buying a bidet and inslalling it, but my bathroom wasn’t big enough, so I hit on the idea of using the loo to clean up. It is better if it is one of the more gentle water dispensers as it gives more time to clean up. Then a quick wipe with a special towel (not the face towel) gives a far better, and cleaner feeling.

Not the thing to do when visiting other houses though. If they have a caustic cleaner in tbe water tank it doesn’t half make you hop about!!

kegels + hemorrhoids = not good!!

Think, if you have external hemorrhoids and contract your anus musculature, like some do during kegels, it will produce an alteration in the sanguineous flow of the hemorrhoids and facilitates the acute inflammation and the thrombosis. In other worlds, PAAAAAAAIN!

But if your kegels are well done and/or your hemorrhoids are internal there aren’t most risk involved. If you have a doubt, just make your own investigation, cause I’m an architect! lol
