Possible Injury

Last night while jelqing (was only 2/3 minutes in) I felt a strange pain between my penis and balls like a shooting pain that traveled down to my balls.

I stopped immediately and for a 1/2 minutes the pain would come and go, since then pain has gone but a bit worried about jelqing tonight. Please help!!!

My opinion (just an opinion) is don’t do any PE for at least 2 weeks to make sure the pain doesn’t come back or that no other issues occur. If everything is OK for 2 weeks, then you are probably in the clear.

Were you jelqing while in the bath or shower, or applying heat at all while you were jelqing (instead of just before and after)? Was there any alcohol in your system while jelqing, and I don’t mean drunk, or even buzzed, but would there have been any remaining in your system from drinking at some point earlier?

In fact any info you could provide about what you did would helpful- erection level, grip strength, etc.

Thanks for your reply, I was jelqing after a bath in front of a heater I didn’t drink but I have jelqed drunk a few times to many(embarrassing) my erection level was around 70%, grip strength was medium to hard, I stretched in the bath.

I did some gentle jelqing yesterday and didn’t feel any pain. I cut my session down from 15/20 mins to 10 mins just in case and graduallly worked my way up to harder strokes.

I do smoke quite heavily I haven’t been gym for 4 weeks now and my cardio is rubbish (really selling myself) I’m not over weight and generally have low blood pressure.

I’m guessing stretching in the bath and jelqing in front of the heater are things you’ve done before or do regularly, do remember what you ate that day?

It was either a coincidence, or there was something different about that day that increased the chances for it to happen, and food can make a difference. If you were sitting in a certain chair for awhile on that day that you don’t usually sit in, maybe that could have made a difference.

I’ve seen a few long term injuries where the person said they were either jelqing in the bath, the shower, or applying heat while jelqing, so that’s why I asked. It sounds like you are staying near the heater too avoid getting too cold while jelqing, so maybe the way you are doing it, it’s not excessive heat but enough to avoid getting too cold.

Diet was the same that day, I usually stretch and jelq in the bath or stretch in the bath and jelq in front of the heater.

Last 3 weeks I’ve been focusing more on the base of my penis (jelqing) because my mid shaft is bigger than the base now….I believe I might be pushing it much.

My main worry is I’m damaging my balls in the process because it’s a similar pain to being kicked in the balls.

It sounds like the combination of focusing more on the base with how hard you were pushing it was the crux of the issue then. You only experienced the pain one time though (during the session), and now tried gentle jelqing which was OK. So maybe more gentle jelqing, and more rest days for awhile, if you want to continue focusing on the base. Then as the base gets more conditioned you can slowly up it, but if the pain occurs again, go back down or take a little time off. Update how things go.

Aside from the pain on that one occasion, you haven’t felt any other discomfort or sensations that felt like your balls were being harmed?

No thankfully I haven’t. Going to take your advise and just be abit more gentle for now. If the pain reoccurs I’ll be back.

Thank you for helping me.

Just rest for two weeks and then get back into it slowly.
