Recovery And Healthier Penis

I posted here a while back about issues with one side of my penis - the left corpora cavernosum it felt - having soreness in it. I decided I would try and rest and masturbate less. The only PE I had done before that was very very minimal and I think my masturbating was more strenuous on my member than PE and probably is what caused my pain. As a rookie I tried clamping once for maybe five minutes or so and had an increase of girth during of about 1/16th of an inch only during the clamping. I felt no immediate pain from that and my member never changed colors besides becoming a little more red during the clamping while plumped up. Maybe that combined with too much masturbation did it, though.
I started masturbating more again recently, once a day and sometimes twice. The pains which had mostly gone away have returned. I would really love to start PE and get in a good but gentle routine, but I worry starting a routine while I am having pains as they have returned so I have resolved to wait. The pains are not great and I do not feel them throughout the whole day along the left side of my penis. It comes and goes and sometimes I do not notice it at all.
It also might be worth mentioning that I have a bit of a curve that points downward and to the left. My left corpora cavernosum seems thinner, weaker and is the reason for my penis being curved, as the other side seems thicker and straighter. I think this is probably normal asymmetry.
My EQ seems as good as ever when I’m erect, and the pain might be more present when I’m flaccid it seems. It just bothers me that I feel a persistent pain at all, and especially from masturbating.
So with that being said, I have an idea of what I will do but I thought I’d run it by here in the forums since I may be able to gain valuable insight from all of your experience. My plan is as follows : I am thinking I will cease all masturbation until this pain subsides and then start a newbie routine so as to strengthen my unit and hopefully the left side especially. I originally came here to gain size, mainly girth, but the more I’ve read over the past few months, the more I’m leaning towards penile health and great EQ, and maybe the gains will just follow.
I just don’t know if the soreness is something I should never do PE with or not. The pain is not strong, just enough to be noticeable and bothersome.
