Anyone tried "Vigel" (L-Arginine) Gel?

I discovered a product new to me at the drugstore, called “Vigel.” It’s an L-Arginine gel for women. Ingredients list: Purified water, Propylene Glycol, L-Arginine, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Peppermint, Methylparaben.

It’s promoted as a topical gel that increases feminine pleasure and intimacy. …VIGEL contains the amino acid L-Arginine which increases feminine arousal by promoting clitoral sensitivity. VIGEL enhances libido and stimulated orgasmic pleasure.

The gel is supposed to be applied to the clitoris as follows: Apply a nickle-sized drop on the forefinger and rub into the clitoral area, making sure to work VIGEL directly into the tissue underneath the clitoris While most women feel the effects immediately, it may take up to three applications (on three consecutive days) to appreciate the full, circulation enhancing effects of VIGEL.

It sells for $19.95 for four 2-gram vials (enough for 16 doses).

I bought some, rubbed it on my glans (closest thing I have to a clitoris), and felt nothing. I tried again the next day, and the next day, and still nothing.

I wonder how the peppermint tastes?

I am skeptical of it.

Transdermals don’t really provide any localized delivery, but systemic. And oral absoption of Arginine is fine.

A waste of money IMO.

Based on those application instructions, I can almost assure you that she’ll feel it immediately.

I noted a slight to moderate warming sensation when applied to myself, in the sense that after my hanging sessions, my dick wasn’t cold, but had a normal temperature feel to it. This could also have been placebo effect.

Am using it on the wife, the results are much more lubrication, and much easier to get her to orgasm, roughly 1/4 of the usual time. Also could be attributed to the placebo effect, but fuck it, who cares?

Hellloooo. It has peppermint in it. That alone is enough to make you feel like there’s increased circulation. Probably a waste of money if you think the arginine is doing anything.

Unless it’s listed as something else, (which it could be, I am no chemist), I see no peppermint there.

The patent information, (here) , for the one I purchased, seems pretty comprehensive to me, as does this study and this article . They cite usage for tissue warming, primarily hands and feet, so it’s plausbile (to me) that it would have beneficial effect when applied elsewhere.

But then again, what do I know.

I see, my oversight.

The novelty ones with menthol and such ingredients have been around a long time. I’d agree it’s these ingredients that are causing any sensation of warmth. I am only interested in the ones purported to be nitric oxide donor / L-arginine related.
