Collagen Considered

I have often thought that chemical weakening of the tissue has potential. Have you looked into PABA, or Potaba? I think that people who have more PE success must have tissue that is weaker or more stretchable. But I worry about effects on skin and nerves and vasculature. It would be nice if somneone has already tried these techniques, but I guess someone has to be a pioneer. Good luck.

As for my avatar, I saw it a long time ago, I think as part of a series of pictures going around in an email, of scenes in nature that look like genitalia. You know, rock spires, cave entrances with bushes around the outside, etc.

I remembered it and thought of using it as an avatar (appropriate for this site, and especially for me since I live where there are Sahuaro cactuses all around me). So I started searching the internet and it took a while but I found the pic. I don’t know if it is real or shopped. It is possible that it is real, as those arms can grow in any type of odd configuration. I know a place where there is a large barrel cactus growing out of the ground at an angle and 2 small baby barrels positioned at its base, and it looks exactly like a dick and two balls. The wonders of nature. I always forget to bring my camera when I mountain bike over there, but it might just be my next avatar.

"In animals relaxin widens the pubic bone and facilitates labor, it also softens the cervix (cervical ripening), and relaxes the uterine musculature."

This is interesting given the penis is 50% smooth muscle. The uterus mostly consists of smooth muscle, known as myometrium.

If it relaxes the uterus why not the penis? Thoughts?

Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal: my strength lies solely in my tenacity.

Louis Pasteur

Just wanted to add:

http://ajpheart .physiology.org … act/260/5/H1590 ,
states the following regarding the role of smooth muscle in the penis (a rabbits in this case):

When smooth muscle is relaxed, venous outflow resistance is high, constant, and independent of intracavernosal pressure. Furthermore, relaxation of smooth muscle allows expansion of corpora with accumulation of volume under pressure, enabling the penis to act as a capacitor. This capacitor function is limited in the presence of constant high outflow resistance by stiffness of the fibroelastic elements of penis, tunica, and fibroelastic frame, which exhibit nonlinear deflection trends.

Goonbaby, your link stated: "Relaxin receptors have been found in the heart, smooth muscle, the connective tissue, and central and autonomous nervous system."

So… not only does it enhance the breakdown of collagen but it also relaxes smooth muscle. The relaxation of smooth muscle allows greater penile volume.

Right? Wrong? Thoughts???

GB, I have long, long thought of some chemical assistance (I know I’m not the only one). I tried taking PABA for a while, but I was concerned about my joints when I was weight lifting so I stopped. In my research, some doctors used PABA interchangeably with POTABA and some thought there was a difference. Although two thought that POTABA (the potassium salt of PABA) was just created so the pharma company could patent it.

My thoughts are similar to yours in that the best way to apply a collagen relaxer (sp?) or a smooth muscle relaxer would be topically. But if I were you, I would look up the dosages and get some help with the molecular size of the drugs. Some drugs are much more effective transdermally than orally and can give you a higher effective dose than orally, with less applied. Meaning it is easier to overdose. Since you have smooth muscle in your heart also, I would hate to see you give yourself a heart attack. Too much potassium (as in POTABA) can also do that. But I think your smart enough to figure these things out. I just haven’t had the time.

I did some research on the topical verapamil on some Peyronie disease discussion boards and it looks like many have tried it and no one has really seen any results. The only one benefiting so far is the pharmacist that patented the formula. The porcine relaxin looks promising also, as in vitalaxin http://www.immu … m/vitalaxin.htm . But who knows.

Since you’re pulling out all the stops, the only other idea I have for you is to try to get some inflammation (a la the wasp sting thread) But in a controlled manner like with topical histamine or some other topical inflammatory. I tried to find some, like in lip plumpers etc, but never found any that didn’t also come with a vaso constrictor in the same cream. There is a version of algipan from Pakistan available on the internet with histamine and other vasodilators (not the UK version). It probably burns like a bitch though. One other idea is topical yohimbine. That’s my brain dump. Good luck

Ouch! Kind of pricey!!

Yes it is, I didn’t buy it. I’m sticking with the tried and true, cialis. There are many things I would try if I had the time and money… Maybe if we try one each and write about it, we’ll increase the collective knowledge. (kind of like dht doesn’t work)

I might consider the “preventative” dosage used by heart patients…but ironically it costs three times as the regular strength dosage. After all, marketing is everything.

goon,

When you were trying it, did it yield any results that you noticed?

And on cost, just get a pill splitter if that was an obstacle in any way.

a full strength aspirin 325 mg, is not dangerous for daily use as long as you don’t have high blood pressure, ulcers etc), and is usually recommended by cardiologists for secondary prevention (cases where a patient has already had a heart attack).

I take a regular aspirin per day. No bad effects, but if I cut myself shaving it can take a while to stop. I also notice that if over do it when I clamp I can get REALLY black and blue.

A baby aspirin per day is the usual recommendation for heart health in normal people, but I don’t see how any dosage will grow your dick.

There was a thread around here that talked about aspirin (and other NSAI’s? I can’t remember) preventing the full, or delaying, recovery in tissues when they are taken. Which is ironic I suppose, since most take them only when injured in some way. But I suppose that is the link that guys saw as valuable to PE.

Anyway, which ever thread it was (can’t remember, now) cited a study of some sort, if I remember correctly.

Goonbaby - work hard and forget about the drugs. That shit won’t help you, you ain’t got no cervix to soften *s*. I am an md and I tell you that you need mechanical stretch pull and so on. Drugs don’t do the job, but you risk side effects. Forget it.

Hey Tick,

You voiced your opinion in a post above. If you are an M.D. then you clearly understand why Goon is hypothesizing on potential uses of collagenases. If you are an M.D. then you know that he doesn’t think that he has a cervix and you don’t know if there is a drug that can do the job.

After you have obtained a little bit more experience with PE, you will likely realize that gains that result form “mechanical stretch” often halt for an unknown reason.

Now, I am not in the business of making predictions but I suspect that you are going to tell me why gains stop without really knowing if you are correct or not. Please don’t do that unless you also provide links to publications that support your claims.

A synthetic form of relaxin has been reported to be useful in treating scleroderma (a connective tissue disease that causes the skin to become tight and thick), improving the skin condition, mobility, and function.
