Has anyone tried the new Hydroxycut Hardcore

I saw an add for a new Hydroxycut formula but I can’t seem to find it around town. Its called Hydroxycut Hardcore and is supposed to have more fat burning properties than the original product. It is not the repackaged old version but rather a completely new formula. I am having a horrible time losing the last 20 -25 pounds and am looking for a supplement to help. I was using Ripped Fuel for a while but had little to no increase in energy with it. If anyone has seen or tried the new formula from Hydroxycut please let me know.

I’ve been weightlifting for years. I worked at a GNC a couple of years ago. Stay AWAY from Muscletech products. Muscletech is the absolute WORST brand on the market when it comes to deceptive advertising. They are simply a bunch of crooks. If you don’t believe me, check out a bodybuilding magazine sometime and check out some of their “ads” which are disguised as articles.

Now, shady marketing techniques doesn’t necessarily mean they make a bad product. Over the years, though, I’ve heard of a number of their products failing to live up to what they put on the labels.

They are the most overpriced on the market.

Even the way they direct you to take the pills is bogus. For example, lets say you buy a bottle of Hydroxycut with 90 pills. Compare it to other similar products from different manufacturers(all in the 90 pill sizes). You may think, hmmm, it’s a little more expensive, but not too much. Now look at how much actual ingredient they put into each pill of hydroxycut. Each pill is so diluted that they instruct you to take 9, yes NINE of them a day. It doesn’t take a genious to figure out what they’re up to. A $50(90 pill) bottle of hydroxycut will last you about 10 days, whereas other products(90pill) will last you around a month because you only need to take 2-4 of them a day.

It’s been a while since I’ve been into the whole supplement thing, so I’m going to guess that even more companies are using unscrupulous techniques. The reason is simple: The supplement industry is unregulated by the gov’t(at least here in Canada). So they can get away with murder.

If you’re in good shape(no heart problems), I would find somewhere where you can buy ephedra in bulk, then cut it with caffeine and/or aspirin if you want, voila, your own ECA pill. If you don’t want to use ephedra, then try your local health store, but stay the hell away from GNC and Muscletech crap.

One more thing about Muscletech: GNC employees work on commission. Muscletech pays the highest rates of commission for sales of their products. Next time you walk into a GNC, I can guarantee you that the sales associate will try to sell you a gold card, a multi vitamin, and either a GNC protein powder or a muscletech product. These four things pay the most commission.

PS: Did I mention that I hate Muscletech?

No, and I dont intend to. Like The Cucumber King says, stay AWAY from MuscleTech products.

Do a little reading around on the ‘net from unbiased sources, you’ll soon learn what to use and what to avoid…

When it comes to thermogenics, my personal favorite has always been the ephedrine + caffine stack.

Very cheap and very effective.

If you go to a supplement website (such as bodybuilding.com or bulknutrition.com) you can find Ephedrine HCL, which is essentially an unbanned form of ephedra.

(I think they actually unbanned regular ephedra, but due to the media turning into a “death drug,” it’s hard to find these days.)

Haha, Ephedrine HCL being the unbanned form of Ephedra. You’re funny. Ephedrine HCL is the form which has been banned in the first place. Here in Europe you still can buy the mormone tea (ephedra plant) but won’t find any Ephedrine HCL at all. The only Ephedrine HCL products available in the U.S. are the ones combined with Guafeisine (loads of it :chuckle: 200mg) and a dose of Ephedrine HCL of only 25mg !!! But since the Guafeisine doesn’t really do anything at all, this product is OK for an ECA Stack. Don’t forget the Aspirine BTW ;)

In my opinion (going from reading, not experience here….but trust me, read a lot) the aspirin isnt that necessary to the stack. EC (Ephedra/Caffeine) works well on its own.

The Stacker pills (with Ephedra, not the Ephedra-free version) were always recommended, if you cant make your own EC/ECA/ECYA(etc) stack, http://www.thatswholesale.com/ has them.

Guaifenesin is implicated in some cases of kidney stones. I wish they didn’t add that crap to perfectly good ephedrine.

Aspirin helps in theory, but not in practice (except for fat women). Don’t bother.

I don’t know about Europe, but in the US Ephedrine HCL was still available, while Ephedra was banned.

It’s true that the Ephedrine HCL is sold in 25 mg tabs (sometimes less) along with the Guafeisine. Technically stores had to sell it as a “bronchio dialator” which was kind of funny since you’d see a shelf full of “thermogenics” with “broncho dialators” right beside them.

That’s true……lately many people feel that the aspirin is unnecessary.
