I’ve been using a copper peptide based one (Tricomin) for a while now and it is quite expensive when compared to the ones off the shelves and I couldn’t tell you that it works far better than anything else for much less money.
You mention jojoba oil and aloe vera. Are these topical solutions or infused shampoos?
Do you have any articles on RU-58841? I was not familiar with it. Of course I could Google search it but was curious of your source.
Thanks mate.
Let’s see.
Point 2 -dutasteride- is a new drug used in prostatic hyperplastia, similar to finasteride (Propecia). The difference is that dutasteride is much stronger, it inhibits 5-ar-I and 5-ar-II (while Propecia only does on II) getting almost a 90% DHT blocking on plasma serum. This drug is nor approved for MPB but there are a lot of persons who are using it as there are studies proving it’s effectiveness on MPB. The problem -please note this- is that side effects are more common, the risk of getting sides from dutasteride is more than twice finasteride’s (libido, brain fog, gyno, etc.). That’s why this drug is not approved for MPB. But it works, a very high rate of users (very high) report good results. I wouldn’t recommend it due risk of side effects.
Point 3. These substances have proven to work on a mild way in MPB. Ketoconazol 2% (Nizoral shampoo) is one of the “big 3” finasteride/minoxidil/ketoconazol; it’s used against fungus and fat on the scalp, and there are several studies which prove it has a mild DHT blocking effect on scalp: 99’9% of users would recommend this shampoo. This studies “compare” ketoconazol 2% with minoxidil 2%, although they work on different ways. Topical spiro has been used against histurism, acné and alopecia with different results; a high rate of users report good results applying a 5% spiro cream (non alcoholic lotion) once or twice a day. Idem for flutamine, which is an anti-androgen like sipro (only spiro is steroidal) and it’s used for the same in it’s topic version.
Point 4. Forgot to add nettle root extract to that list… but let’s see: this herbal products are natural DHT blockers, but the rate of effectiveness is too low to recommend it as something that works. There are studies with good results, some others with bad results, people who says it works and people who says it doesn’t work a blind shit. In this case it’s up to you (never forget: herbal products also have side effects).
About shampoos… I’d strictly recommend ketoconazol 2% shampoo two or three times a week, supporting my opinion in hundreds of testimonies I’ve read from other users. Instead of this one, I think any shampoo which has a neutral PH and is good against sebum will be good for the rest of the week. Copper peptides ones are a good solution too but (BUT) their efficacy against MPB is quiet not fair proven. There are studies which support copper peptides work against MPB (Folligen Tricomin) even approved by the FDA, but when you read user’s opinions… it seems something is wrong. You’ll have to make a balance among results/costs to keep using this Tricomin, there’s no other chance.
Point 5. No, it’s not necessary to use this products. There are many users satisfied with some of them (specially Revivogen, Crinagen and Eucapil) but also a very high rate of users would kick my ass while I’m writing this cause they think it’s a big waste of money, faith and time. Again, it’s up to you.
Jojoba oil and aloe vera are topical solutions (gels, oil) although there are shampoos too. You would have to apply the topical solution (kind of oil) on the scalp, better before bed time. Both are good for scalp irritation, sebum, inflammation, bacterias, etc. It are a good complements for hair care.
RU-58841 is the “guru” of all the baldness shit. It was (WAS) a very potent topical anti-androgen designed by a French laboratory, but all became a mystery. Lab closed, other pharmaceutical company made trials, again the product disappeared… a non-sleep story. It’s potency is about 16 times spiro and it’s binding to the androgen receptor is almost perfect; users who can get it and used it for years are quiet happy BUT there are also a few who say it’s too expensive and difficult and results are not “so” magic. Anyway, if you want to get RU, actually the only way is due a Chinese lab; you have to send them a mail and order a minimum amount of 10g raw powder ($300) to make your own solution at home… so, as you can see, it’s a big shit. If you look in hair loss forums you’ll find more info.
Hope it was helpful. Take care!
