Rogaine

Yes the experts say by all means use the Nizoral.I use it every other time I shampoo.Read the entire thread and you will see that alot of guys are doing it.As far as using Rogaine on your eyebrows,I don’t know if it would work or not,but putting it that close to your eyes sounds like a bad idea.

Does anyone have good results using it on the front? The instructions specifically say it will not work for receding hairline.

It will help you keep your hair in the front. It works best when used with something that brings down the dht in your scalp. Rogaine keeps the hair in the active growing stage but it will not thicken the hair on it’s own in the front.

Has anyone tried the new Rogaine foam? I like it but it has a tacky scent to it.

Hey guys,
I posted something in this thread a long time ago when I was considering Revivogen, and I’m back again for more questions :) .

Basically, I havent ordered any Revivogen yet. Problem is I’m losing hair now, everywhere on my head. On the sides the back, and of course on top. Basically I’m going bald completely.

I was using Minox, for about 8 months, and then I was carrying on using it irregularly. Then I stopped for a month and a half, and I’m back on it again. Enough of the history heh ;) .

Thing is, I visited one of these chinese medicine herbal stores, from which I bought a shampoo, which is really good, rather than using any other chemical shampoo, cause now I have no itching or anything.

When I use Minox, I get those white things on my head, which are basically a form of dandruff as you know. Nizoral has only effectively increased them, so I switched back to the herbal shampoo and it has minimised the effect. Well anyway, the guy at the store recommended I use their treatment for only four months, which is a hair tonic, and I would see results within the first month. However:
1) Recommended I stopped Minox
2) Once/Twice a week wash my hair with shampoo. (Which is a problem since if I don’t wash them every day I get a bad case of dandruff.

So I’m considering between this solution, and just plainly adding Revivogen to my list. Does revivogen give hair re-growth, or stops hair loss? This hair tonic he suggested, supposedly gives re-growth.
What do you guys think?

I really have a problem with losing hair, and I would like it to stop. Obviously ;)

Hair just dies out every day, more and more and more.. You get the idea.

As far as doctors, every single one says it’s in the genes. But as long as I can postpone why not?!

Thanks again

I ordered the Revivogen and I’m using it for about a week and a half now and I can tell you it has the best shampoo in the world. I’m using the system with minoxidil once a day and I’m still taking the generic Propecia and using the Nizoral shampoo 3 times a week. So far my hair looks real good I’m hoping it thickens up some more than I’m going to cycle off the Propecia for 3-6 months.

I have updated my regiment 3 months ago and it’s been very productive:
Propecia 2.5mg per day
GenHair Minoxidil 15% @ night
Nizoral 2% twice a week
Tricomin TricoPack daily
Vitamin Shoppe Ultimate Man

I’m a Norwood 4 and with this I’ve grown back my full front hairline with very long, fine hairs. My temple areas are loaded with hair but you can still tell they are very thin, but getting stronger. My crown is still very fine but getting better with each day.

Mind you, I used to be on 5% Minox and 1.25mg Fincar for 4 years so I don’t think its something someone should jump into right away.

Minox 15% ? That’s a lot right :) .

Dino9X7: You’re only using the shampoo then?

darkreign,

Yes, it’s a lot and not sold in stores. You have to order it online. Recently, it has been found that minoxidil percentages up to about 20% can be controlled without crystallization, therefore it can be used as a topical solution. I have had no adverse reactions and it is not itchy at all. I was having a bad experience with regular rogaine where my scalp would be itchy all the time.

Same here. Where can I get it from?

Is it cheap? My scalp is killing me :) .

Dino9X7: one other thing. Should I get the conditioner as well? Or just the shampoo. And also, how can I use it in conjunction with minox?

Thanks everyone I appreciate it.

darkreign,

You can use minox and revivogen together. You would shampoo and condition first, then dry your hair and scalp and apply the minox. Then when it dries (it should dry quickly due to the alcohol content) you apply the Revivogen topical solution. That’s how I’ve done it in the past.

I never use conditioner and like tmar89 said I also put the Minoxidil on first and by the time I brush my teeth and get ready for bed it’s dry and than I put the revivogen on. I have never tried the 15% Minoxidil but would like to but if I was you with the scalp problems you are having I would stick with the 5%. I never had any scalp problems at all I haven’t had a dry scalp since I started all this a couple of years ago. It’s funny also I used to always get a dry scalp in the winter before I started a hair program.

Ok fellas, let’s slow down a minute here.

Some things to consider:

1) Darkreign, if you are losing hair on the back and sides of your head, it is quite possible that you have a thyroid (or some other) condition. This is not normal loss for MPB. Go to a doctor and get blood work done. I would also headbutt that herbalist in the face for selling you his crap. I’ve been at this game for awhile and herbs and vitamins DON’T STOP male pattern baldness. IF you truly have MPB (after getting checked by a doctor) then get on Minoxidil, Propecia and Nizoral. Period.

2) Tmar, I would think twice about Genhair’s 15% minox. It is VERY hard to form a liquid minoxidil solution at such a high concentration, and to my knowledge, the only one who has been able to do it successfully is Dr. Lee. I know of quite a few people who have complained that Genhair’s 15% minox has ALOT of undesolved minoxidil floating around in there; almost sludge-like. If you want to use a 15% minox (personally I think you get better results with twice a day minox usage) then I recommend Dr. Lee’s 15% Xandrox.

3) One more thing DarkReign, if your scalp is that sore, you might consider a few anti-inflammatories. Emu Oil is good, and so are copper peptide products like Tricomin.

"Look what your brother did to the door!"

Leatherface,

Thanks for your input. I’ve looked into both Dr. Lee’s Xandrox and Genhair and I ended up going with Genhair after reading some positive feedback and also, the price was less. My solution from Genhair has been very soluble and hasn’t produced any particulates that are noticeable. Maybe I got a good batch? But I can assure you I’ve been getting better than expected results.
