Rogaine

Something like that yea. It looks like it isn’t a new idea, just gaining popularity. I haven’t checked yet to see how the legitimate medical community views it, but it sounded like there was evidence to back up their claims on the Today show.

Horny Bastard

Well today I begin incorporating Revivogen into my hair routine. I got a three month supply, including a bottle of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner. I do think the Minox 5% I’m using has slowed or stopped most of my hair loss, but I haven’t seen any real growth. There are alot of fine hairs on my crown, but I think they are weak and breaking before they get very long. Perhaps the Revivogen will help strengthen them.

It will help:) . But when you use the shampoo only use dime size amounts or it will never last the three months.
It lathers really well with that amount. You may want to pick up nizoral shampoo also it’s reasonable price wise and works well it also will make the Revivogen shampoo last longer. I switch back and fourth and I also use a regular shampoo by loreal for men.

Thanks for the input Dino. I’ve been using nizoral. Just the 1% but I use it every other time I shampoo. I’m not sure whether to do the rogaine at night and the revivogen in the morning or what. Any suggestions Dino? You use both at the same time do you not?

Well, I haven’t been keeping track of this topic, but I use Rogaine. Are you using regular rogaine or the foam? For me, I used to do regular rogaine after the shower, but it would run down my face and now I have terrible hair growth on my forehead. It’s best for myself at night. Actually, I ended up wrapping toilet paper around my head like Rambo and using a very large rubberband to hold it there so there was no more leaking.

I love the foam the best. You can use that stuff day or night. If u wanted, u can use it as actual mouse, so you can style your hair, if u really wanted to.

I was using both at the same time at first I was letting the rogaine dry but than I said the hell with that and just put them on back to back and it seemed to work fine. I only did it at night never during the day only the shampoo in the morning.

Okay Dino, thanks again for the input. Just got done showering with the shampoo and conditioner. The stuff has a pleasant smell to it. I was surprised. You are right about the shampoo, it doesn’t take much to work up a good lather. I just hope I get some benefit from it. The front of my hair was pretty good until recently. The back has been thin for years. I’ve been using tongkat ali for about two months now. I wonder if the testosterone boost is causing the increase in hairline recession in front. I’m gonna go off it for awhile, although I really enjoy it’s benefits. Increased erections that are rock hard are pretty damn hard for a 42 year old man to pass up. But I have Viagra and Cialis, so I think I’d rather have some hair too.

Phantasm, there are a few reviews about the foam in this thread. Go back a page or two and they should be there. All pretty positive from what I remember. However I don’t think you can get it in generic yet so it may be price prohibitive for many members. As for the Nizoral, when I shower I shampoo my head first, then just leave it on while I do the rest of myself. (That didn’t sound good did it?) Anyway after the rest of my body is clean I rinse the shampoo out of my hair. You want to try to leave it on your head for at least two minutes so it can do it’s work.

Nizoral users do you guys just shampoo it in and wash it out or let it dry on top.

I just started the foam in the mornings and I love it. It’s not sticky or running and it acts like a light mousse and a good base for styling. I haven’t been using anything in the mornings for years because my hair looks and is all greasy and sticky for the rest of the day if I used regular minox. This stuff is definitely welcomed.

And with the Nizoral shampoo, I lather, let sit for 3 minutes and then rinse. It pretty much dries out but you’re supposed to let it sit so the active ingredients do their thing.

I usually leave the Nirzoral on for 3 - 5 minutes and rinse off.

I noticed that it has some similar effects as Rogaine. Initially a lot of shedding. Then hair is supposed to grow back.

I was just wondering if the Nizoral treatment for hair, as they have no claims, is to leave it on like Rogaine.

The Foam may not be in generic form yet, but how about making one with a spritzer or something?

Nizoral should be washed off before no more than 5 minutes. It is potent for killing bacteria and leaving it on longer doesn’t have any extra benefit.

Generic minox already exists in a spritzer form. The foam can’t be sprayed; it is too dense and must be worked in like hair mousse. I don’t get what your asking.

Easy Cowboy,

I was just wondering if there is some way that we can make our own mousse.

There is a sprtizer out there on the market that can take many liquids and make them into foam.

Rogaine has a tendency to run all over the place.

Some of the knock-offs like Scalp med seem to work because they don’t run. Scalp Med is minox, and most likely as scam. It is a cream/mouse.

If we can some how make a cream/mouse from generic minox, then why not.

Save a few pennies here and there.

I wasn’t aware of this and would also be interested. Do you know the name/manufacturer of this spritzer?
