So men aren’t rats then? :D After reading so many studies, something I’ve noticed is that mice get great results with everything! As an example, in one of the Bromo experiments, mice on maintenance calories dropped something like 50% of their fat level in about 2 weeks (though 2 weeks is a long time in mouse days). Rats on the same protocol dropped ‘only’ about 29% over 8 weeks, yet you’d think genetically they would be very close. They more or less maintained the same body weight weight by the way, so LBM was affected favourably. The same protocol in humans produced no fat loss unless hypocalorific, and then only at the rate that you’d expect with an energy deficit. The main benefit to humans was decreased hunger and positive nutrient partition, which allowed them to maintain most of their LBM while dieting (and the reason I’m using it). I have the MindTek Binaural CD’s. While they don’t have anything for libido in their collection, I have no doubts about their effectiveness with the brain. The MindTek CD’s on the whole don’t have any spoken words though, so I don’t know how you’d target that area of the brain. Does the Ecstacy CD have a voice over, or is it purely entrainment?

No need to worry just yet, it’s only a hypothesis and not yet proven. This isn’t my idea, I borrowed it from the Lyle McDonald book mentioned earlier in this thread. It goes like this:
Dopamine can be stimulated by various supplements (L-Dopa, L-Tyrosine, Nicotine etc). The concern is that the neurodegeneration that causes Parkinsons disease may be the free radical oxidisation of dopamine. The oxidative stress may cause damage to the dopamine producing neurons via free radical damage. Conversely (but not proven) Bromo may be neuroprotective in this instance because it can activate the dopamine receptors without having to raise dopamine levels.
The reason I think fish oil may be better (though I haven’t studied this), is that the oil is more like a real food, that can be utilised in various ways. I don’t see how the brain would be ‘forced’ into producing dopamine that it doesn’t want to. MAOI’s, immediate dopamine pre-cursors etc (I would guess) to have less of a shotgun outcome. So please don’t take what I said to seriously, I never intended to present it as fact. I do have references for the studies on which that hypothesis is based if it’s of any use.
Addendum: I made it to 1500 posts without once ever commenting on a picture of another mans cock. Does that make me an utterly hetero dude with a deep manly voice? :D
