Okay, I’ve finished the Bromo book. I said I was going to bullet point the main features, but having read it, it’s hard to say something in a couple of paragraphs that would do the book justice. If you like reading books in the style of Dr Kevin Pezzi then I think you’d enjoy this one.
The basic idea is that it’s a dopamergenic that helps defend normal brain chemical levels when dieting, which apparently makes diets effective for longer by avoiding the systems crash that nornally occurs during a diet. It is also a positive nutrient partitioner so it should help keeping lean when bulking. It does not cause fat loss (in humans) when used alone, but in calorific deficit seems to be quite supportive.
Dosage is advised as ramping up to 5mg taken in the morning. He repeats this quite a lot, that it should be in the morning, and says taken later in the day would be less effective and prone to side effects. This is the fit in with the daily cyclical levels of various hormones.
Main benefits during diet are: increased metabolic rate, fat burning, testosterone, and thyroid, and decreased cortisol and appetite. By benefits that is to mean they remain nearer normal than they otherwise might do.

A word on dosage. I took 2.5mg about 3 hours ago, and have no negative effects whatsoever while sitting in front of the screen and doing household stuff. As I posted earlier, when I was hitting it heavy in the gym last time I tried it, it put me on my ass in much the same way a heavy squat session might. Also (although it didn’t realise the significance at the time), I was taking it in the evening shortly before working out. This was probably the worst thing I could have done.
Someone commented last night that I was starting to put weight on (the wrong kind of weight). I had been aware of that for the last couple of weeks due to poor lifestyle, so I’m going to put myself a diet together which will start in 10 days time (right after next weekend), partly for the psychologic aspect, but mostly to give me time to stock up on the right kind of refrigerator contents and work out my numbers. I’m going to factor in the Bromo too, but I’m starting that today so I can get up to the 5mg target dose by the time I start.
