Hair loss - anything to reverse it or prevent it? Is hair transplantation an option?

This is what I have done. Not going to say I don’t miss it though.

Some people’s head shape is just not ideal for bald look.
You need to have a certain round shape to be nice.
And some people looks really weird being bald.. I think my face is one of those :(

Magnesium oil for de-keratinization and a scalp scrub at least once a week to effect the same. On that regimen myself and can tentatively say there’s progress in hair regrowth.

If you are also experiencing some urinary difficulties due to an enlarging prostate, Propecia and Finasteride are alike to both stimulate hair regrowth and improve urinary flow! I know the finasteride greatly helps with my urinary flow, and I am just waiting for the hair benefit to kick in. I must say that my finasteride comes in a 5mg dose and Propecia comes as a 1mg dose, but if you are on medicare or other health insurance they will pick up most of the bill for the 5mg finasteride, but not the Propecia. (medical vs vanity :) )

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Hi,

Something that has halted me and stabilized my hairloss completely is Tocotrienols supplement , it really works and is healthy. I have been taken in the past minoxidil and propecia but I prefer follow a natural and more healthy way.
At the same time I make my own shampoo , the chemichals added in commercial shampoos are very harmful for your hair. My shampoo is very simple and leaves my hair shinny and with volume. I mix a can of beer (without alcohol) and some milimeters of a natural soap (Glucoside Decyl wich I buy in internet) and some essential oil 8I prefer lemon essential oil) and that´s all.
I use too a shower filter to remove chlorine and other chemichals.
Some days I use my boar bristle brush to massage my scalp.
I find critical in my success stoping my hairloss the tocotrienols supplement but also the other´s have their importance too.

Finasteride combined with dutasteride has saved me from balding. I’m taking it for 7 years and my hair actually improved (became darker and thicker) over time of using these anti-androgens. I also use minoxidil, but it doesn’t do much.

WARNING: These 2 meds can cause impotence which may be long term. They did with me—worse decision I ever made.

Gentlemen, be very cautious about finasteride. The side effects include partial or total loss of libido. I know a urologist who strongly recommends against it; his opinion: do you want hair or a hard on?

Starting May, 2018: BPEL: 7.31" MSEG: 5.25"

Sep, 2020: BPEL: 7.81” MSEG: 6"

Goal Dec, 2021: BPEL: 8.00" MSEG: 6.25"

I feel your pain. I am in my mid 20s and going bald (fast accelerating but Norwood II at the moment). This is all within a year of lush thick hair and has caused me to lose my youthful look.

I would say acceptance is the first part, really decide if it is worth the effort trying to delay the inevitable. If you have decided it is a battle worth fighting then there are very advanced hair replacement wigs that many men are using, you can easily find plenty of videos on Youtube and the results are amazing.

Hair transplant surgery also works (take Elon Musk as an example) but there is the expense to consider.

I dont really buy this. A comb over is very bad agree! However chemo patients are bald, so being bald means looking like a chemo patient.

This guy gets it! Unless you are rich as hell, you are going to look 1000 times better wearing a advanced hair replacement wig.

The thing with cheap hairtransplants is they look so damn bad up close and you more or less have to spraypaint your head with concealers on top of the transplant to try and fake some kind of density.

Mr Fish either get on Finasteride 0,5mg every day eight away and dutasteride for the first 6 monts 0,5mg e3d or just get a wig right away!

I have found out so many young famous guys and reality tv guys are actually using a wig. I was kind if shocked at first but if you watch for wig wearing guys you will easily find them from sometimes having a great ultra thick hairline and other times being severely thinned out!

When in my twenties and living in southern California, my barber commented as she shampooed me that my scalp was tighter than a drum. In her experience, customers with the tightest scalps were the ones who seemed to have the greatest amount of hair loss. So she highly recommended giving myself a vigorous one minute scalp massage every day. Took her advice, and never had a problem.

However as I entered my sixties, noticed that my hair was starting to thin. My current barber suggested a couple different products. But before buying them, figured first I’d just try upping my scalp massage time. Four weeks later my barber commented that I must have taken her advice, and wondered what product I’d gone with. She said that there were hundreds of tiny new hair growing all over my head, and my hair looked so much fuller. She was amazed to hear that just extra massaging had done it.

I use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. (Do not buy this off Amazon as a fake Chinese product is sold there. Order it directly from paulmitchell.com). It really makes one’s scalp tingle. Massage vigorously for two minutes while shampooing. Also, first thing in the morning and again before bedtime, press firmly on your scalp and give yourself two minute massages.

Hope you have as much success with this regimen as I’ve had.

Last summer I noticed my hair was thinning all over the top. I attribute it to stress, poor diet and age. I made an effort to change my lifestyle and try to live healthier.

I’m not sure if it was that change that stopped the hair loss or following the recommendations of the link below. It is similar to what magicwand9 was recommending. If you go on YouTube and do some general research about scalp massage you will find a few different people that have had success. That being said I think it may only be beneficial to those that are in the early stages of thinning and aren’t already significantly bald.

Propecia is proven to work for men and women.

Dutasteride is off label proven to work for men.

Rogaine is proven to work for men and women.

Saw palmetto, green tea and a plethora of other natural 5 ar inhibitors work by the same principles. I guess tee tree oil reduce inflammation something that might also help. But really there are only 3 drugs to treat androgenic alopecia, find a natural alternative with the same pharmacodynamics and you will find varying degrees of success as the real deal. But dont be fooled and waste your time on anything else.
