What did it take so long (over 3 years) to decide you want those 20+ ponds in a month+? :)

Now seriously, who wouldn’t want that, but jellybelly spoke the voice of reason. Is it a Voodoo, or Harry Potter magic? :)

I’m a competitive/winning bodybuilder so I promise you I know a thing or two about this. So please go ahead and tell us your 20 lbs in a month formula.

Yes I want to know. If your formula can gain me 20 lbs in a 2 years I will be surprised.

Current size: 7 Bpel x 5.125 Eg. Goal: More girth.

Its very simple. You workout 3 days a week (correctly) with a HEALTHY 6,000 caloriet diet. Never exceeding More weight gainer then food (You need good healthy weight-gainer, Non sugar based). Meaning if you eat 3,000 calories of food then never to exceed 3,000 calories of weight gainer. Also I don’t want to sound like I have a bond tone, But don’t give me so much Flak and call me a liar out of nowhere. I went from 195 up to 215 in 4 weeks. So a little over a month. I forced myself to eat 6,000 calories a day and did the right exercises correctly. My strength has literally increased 35% + on all my lifts (for the most part). But please note, If people are going to call me a liar and say I am making this up I am going to not respond any further. I am just willing to give my input on something to help some people out. I am not going to argue and fight to try to make people believe me. And I am definately not trying to sell anything.

Oh and another note, The reason I didn’t gain before that is because I never did the high calorie and I was active in MMA. I did tons of cardio and endurance training and burned far to many calories to put on muscle mass. I quit that due to the danger and injuries I suffered and just went to straight body-building. Once again though if nobody wants to hear me out and test what I am saying then I will just drop the subject and respect your opinions.

Friend I’ve gained over 100 lbs and it took me YEARS and A LOT of money on supplements. So for someone to say they’ve gained 20 lbs of lean muscle mass is perplexing to me unless they were on something. The rate at which protein synthesis happens is fairly fast, but that seems to be EXTREMELY fast. Now with the fact that you were doing a endurance sport which does not contribute to muscle hypertrophy and have switched to bodybuilding may have something big to do with it. Also your age is a contributing factor. I wish you the best and hope you continue to gain at that rate if thats what you desire.

I gained around 12 or 13 lbs in a 4 week period, so it might be possible to do 20, just seems kinda hard to believe

February 5/09 - BPEL: 6.5", EG:5.2"

March 24/09 - BPEL: 6.75", didn't measure girth

Goal - BPEL: 7.5", EG: 5.5"

Also with gaining weight, there is a rule saying that for every pound you gain, your gaining 60% muscle and 40% fat per pound so to say you’ve gained 20 lbs of lean muscle mass is misleading, at least to me. I’m friends with some of the top bodybuilders in the sport and it’s hard for them to gain at this rate but if you can do it, more power to you.

I just know my abs were barely visible before and they still are. So I don’t think I have put on much fat. Here is something that you all can do. Look up a guy on the internet called John Berardi (I think thats spelled right). After my trainer told me about the high calorie diet I looked him up and he re-affirmed the 6,000 calories a day for muscle growth. At the start of this program I was doing only 60 pound inward dumbell flies (Palms facing each other almost straight, Makes it alot harder) Now I have bumped up to doing 90’s almost 13 times. Next time its going to be 95’s. Hack squats I was only doing 270. Now I am doing 360, 12 reps. Free weight dumbell shoulder presses, Was only doing 50’s. Now I am doing 75’s. Anyways all my lifts have gone up that much. But here is a thought maybe you guys could ponder. How many people really eat 6,000 calories a day and actually workout correctly for muscle growth? Most of what I see people doing in the gym is for endurance, And they think there lifting for strength. Then on top of that there probably only consuming around 2,000 calories a day. Recently though I have gotten sick, I threw up the other day and emptied myself out. Thats when i weighed myself at 215. Its either a flu bug going around or maybe my body is starting to reject all the calories? Oh and also just so you guys know, I have a personal grudge against suppliments of any kind unless its weight gainer. I won’t throw it in peoples faces but I am a firm believer in gaining all natural so you keep your gains. Most suppliments require you to keep taking them to keep what you got. I have friends that lost all there gains after they quit taking the stuff they were on.

hey jb560 you should try my program and see if it works for you. If your interested

I’m good. My formula seems to be working for me. I do appreciate it though.

Uplink, be careful with that diet as it may severely harm your health!

Knowing that 40% of the proteins are converted to carbohydrates and a part is metabolized to smaller molecules than amino-acids, we may reasonably consider that only 50% (or less) of the protein intake is going to build muscles. That means at least 40 pounds of protein to be eaten in around 30 days = 1.3 lbs/day.

The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for proteins for healthy people is 0.8 g/kg, that is 0.08% of body weight. This includes weight lifters also. Only for endurance training (like marathon) the RDA increases to 0.1-0.12% proteins per body weight per day!

You are going to eat 1.3 pounds/day of proteins at a body mass of 215 lbs, which is 0.6% of your body weight. Your diet will provide you 7.5 times the RDA of proteins! You should know that just doubling the RDA of proteins you are already poisoning your kidneys, but you are heading far beyond!

Thanks for this info, I bought some sesame seed oil and did further research, mainly if it’ll help my teeth and gums then I’m interested. Some recommend 20 mins, So I’m going to aim for that. If anything happens I’ll let you know, good or bad.

Maybe I’ll do this while I jelq. Multitasking for the win!

I’m extremely skeptical about the Oil Pulling. It just seems like some sort of witchcraft in my opinion; however, I have been looking for an economical way to whiten my teeth. Jellybelly, thanks for posting your insight on this thread, you crazy Asian. ;P
