Ropejumper: It hardly costs a penny, and only takes 20 minutes a day, sure it may be unpleasant for a while, but I myself noticed an improvement in oral health. Although I quit oil pulling shortly after I began. I still have braces and will continue to have them until I am around 20, I only got them fitted at Christmas (horrible time to get braces, but it was then or April. On sooner, off sooner).

My main concern about oil pulling was that the surrounding tooth (not covered by the braces bracket) would exceed the ‘pearlyness’ of the tooth underneath, I am also worried that since I’ve had my braces I brush my teeth alot more throughly, so my teeth may be a few shades whiter than underneath. The orthadontist assured me the would be cleaned and whitened for a small fee. But I digress.

As soon as I get these braces off, I will begin oil pulling again. Pearly teeth, here I come.

Oh, about the weight thing.I got a question seeing how there’s people who know a thing or two here.. I gotta loose about 16 or more pounds, I’ve been loosing a pound a day, but lately I’m not, I started when I weighed 230 and now I weigh around 215 (the scale I used recently had the part that tells you how tall you are break, not sure if that will effect the reading much.) I have access to an air force base’s gym and been going about 5 days out of the week and I’ve been on a 1500 diet, been trying to eat lean meats and drink water (but this week I’ve been drinking sodas to make up for missing some meals on accident.)

Anyway to the point, whats a good way to loose weight quickly, I got two month period to get to 198 or lower(weight requirement), without making my self throw up, skipping food and the such. I mean what should I focus on and what are things I can do that people might not know starting out? I want to do this smart and hopefully keep this off unless I decide to build muscle later.

miromoto, losing 5 lbs/week is not stressful for the body and you can do it comfortably. I consider you have the needed dedication.

Diet: don’t go starving yourself, but keep a low calorie diet. Eat 6 small meals a day. More meals assure your metabolism is put to work all the time and you won’t feel hunger.

Workout: I suggest to do running on a daily basis with one rest day a week. If you are not accustomed to it, start with 35 min and increase 5 min after two days till you are at 1 hour/day. If you are short on time and your body is resistant enough, I suggest interval training, which is more effective. Google for it. Basically it’s a mix of aerobic and anaerobic training, consisting of moderate (normal) running interrupted by short bursts of sprint running (with a time ratio of 1/3).

Oh also I just tried the oil pulling today with Orchids Pure Sesame Oil, I poured it onto a spoon then swished it around in my mouth while watching a TV show (they are usually 30 mins) after I got done I spat it out, I dunno about the stuff being white white, but it looked kinda whitish, with a yellow tint? Actually it look like cum haha.anyway the taste isn’t horrible if you like sesame seeds. So far so good. Let you know if I get a loss in erections or something. Oh and my stomach felt a little weird afterwards, but nothing too horrible.

Braces are the worst. I still remember the day I got them off clearly. Such an amazing feeling when you finally are free from their bondage. Well, I’m starting to PO with EVOO first, until I find some sesame seed oil. I’ll post my findings in a couple weeks.

Yeah I can’t wait to get them off, I’ve had horrible amount of plastic and metal in my mouth for a year now and I’m sick of it.

I had these ‘installed’ in June of last year : NO LINKS PLEASE . Now those were horrible, I lost about 12 or so pounds due to being unable to eat properly. Being 6’ 2” and 140 pounds, isn’t good.

Couple points to add.

If you have two months to lose 16 lbs or so, that’s more than enough time.
You can do several things. Cervixhunter has it right. Here’s my 2 cents.

If you are willing to put in the effort, you can start by cleansing your liver so your fat can be metabolized more efficiently. You can do the Master Cleanser or the Fat Flush Detox to do this. Each one is about 2 weeks.

After that, just keep eating lean protein and load up on high fiber raw veggies, limit your fruit intake and increase your cardio. You want to light a fire with your metabolism. Whatever you do stay the hell away from anything processed or pre-packaged. Don’t go below 1500 calories. Ironically, restricting your calories will actually slow your metabolism, ultimately defeating the purpose of burning any fat or losing any weight.

I’ve actually done this before and you can lose up to 50 lbs in 2 months and your shit will no longer stink.
So when someone thinks you have an attitude and says “you think you’re shit don’t stink?” You can say with confidence that it truly doesn’t.

The question is, does the use of water outweigh the cost of using paper. I know your ass is cleaner afterwards, but from an economic and/or financial standpoint, which is the most viable option?

Well, unless you never wash, toilet paper is the better option. But considering none of us are hobo’s and we wash regularly, may as well do the do while cleaning the rest of our body.

Not to mention it’s better for your bowels.

I’m buying a hair straightener this week. I love to let my hair grow out but it is too curly and like an afro. I’m getting a .5” plate straigtener for short hair. I saw some really cool videos on Youtube on how to spike your hair too.
