This term has been given a bad rep lately. I just wanted to clear it up with the people of Thunder’s.

So what exactly is the image of “metrosexual” in your eyes. I first thought it was the small boarder line between straight guys and gay guys. Mostly I’m talking about Bisexuality. Also another thing that comes to mind is weakness. How about I make it easier and just break it down with a bulletin

Traits of “Public’s eye” metrosexual

- Clean cut
- Weak (fragile)
- Feminine
- Stylist gay culture clothing. (Guess, Armani exchange, Euro-mod, LA/NY designer clothing)
-Tall
-Slender
-No facial hair
- No male friends.. Just women.
- Perfect nails/toe nails
- Likes shopping
-Respects women
- Must have new technology items.
- Friday night consist of model runway show/ art show

All this and yet still considering themselves a straight man.

Traits of Manly man

- Masculine
- Tall
- Define facial hair
- Man’s body ( big build, and definitely no fag muscles) haha
-Deep voice
- Wears comfortable clothing’s that are not flashy (old navy, gap, banana republic, Macy’s, no name brands etc.)
- Musky
- Like’s football, contact sports.
- Gives less then shit what they look like
- Friday night consist of beer with buddies
- Believe’s all “products” are for women
-Never even thinks about touching gel/hair products.
- Oogle’s women.

Could I describe a modern image of an American man any better?

Alright and now real traits of a modern day metrosexual.

-Masculine
-Tall
- Body with low body fat
-A essential player in the women’s field.
- Likes finer things in life
- Enjoys looking good
- Takes time to pick out a shirt/pant/clothing.
- Takes small time at the mirror to flatten out imperfections.
- Inspired to look better and better as time goes on
- Wears clothing that compliments your body
- Care’s deeply about hygiene
- Enjoys sports but also enjoy buying clothing to improve image.
- Knows how to sweet talk women/guys from trouble and problems.
- Friday night consist of going to Clubs/ cool event opening’s.
- And most importantly.carrying a big dick ;)

Alright so after reviewing this which are you OR striving to become? I highly believe from THIS CHART breakdown, almost every man on her would want to be a modern day metrosexual.

Several of those characteristics are definitely interchangeable or arguable. Probably didn’t need “fuck the metro bullshit” after the manly man choice either haha.

my friends and my girlfriend refer to me as metrosexual. It’s mainly cause I have good taste and am extremely comfortable with myself/ sexuality. I like fashion and looking good. Also, I really like dancing and that seems to be a trait. Pretty much anyone who’s straight but comfortable with doing/enjoying things that are not traditionally (in america, anyways) masculine.

I’m a little confused about the low body fat bit, though. I thought metrosexuality, whatever it might be, was more of a personality than body type. I mean, I care how I look and work out daily, but I’m not skinny =P

It is but it’s what someone might strive/want to be.

Traits of “Public’s eye” metrosexual (ill change it a bit to my style.) People call me metrosexsual!

- Clean cut
- Athletic
- Feminine (not at all, at least I’m not)
- Stylist “gay” culture clothing. (Don’t know if it’s gay or not, but I go with Diesel, Lacoste, Mustang, Gas, Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce Gabbana)
-Tall (188cm)
-Slender (not, at least I’m not)
-No facial hair (agree)
- No male friends.. Just women. (50% - 50%)
- Perfect nails/toe nails (yeah)
- Likes shopping (yeah :D )
-Respects women (yeah)
- Must have new technology items. (Damn right)
- Friday night consist of model runway show/ art show (before, not any more)

Definitely European style clothing and VERY FLASHY. And I don’t wanna be stereotypical but it is the “ideal” look of gay men of designer clothing. Don’t take it the wrong way, everyone knows the gay community always has a step up in fashion.

Damn short or average height people are screwed.

I have several traits but my friends would never label me a metro sexual. Most of the stuff I do is behind the scenes that only my wife knows.

- Clean cut (I hate shaving but I can’t stand to go more than 3 days without shaving.)
- Majority of my friends are women (I do have male friends too just a lot more female. I also enjoy being around the ladies than the guys)
- Perfect nails/toe nails
- Likes shopping (Not like, I love shopping.)
-Respects women
- Enjoys looking good (and I enjoy checking myself out to make sure)
- Takes time to pick out a shirt/pant/clothing. (Don’t forget the matching ball cap too.)
- Takes small time at the mirror to flatten out imperfections. (and admire the glow of my awesomeness)
- Wears clothing that compliments your body
- Care’s deeply about hygiene
- Knows how to sweet talk women/guys from trouble and problems.
- Inspired to look better and better as time goes on (I use an SPF 15 face lotion and I always put moisturizer on after a shower even at the gym. Yea I’m that guy.)

This is in-between:
- Wears comfortable clothing’s that are not flashy. (I like comfy clothing but 100% Polo name brand pocket or regular T-Shirts. I get them cheap and have a couple of Polo Shirts that are over 20 years.)

- Musky (I hardly ever put on any cologne)
- Like’s football, contact sports. (I watch hockey for the fights.)
- Gives less then shit what they look like (I care how I look like I just don’t give a shit what people think.)
- Friday night consist of beer with buddies (With my wife but when away on business yes I’m at Happy Hour.)

Meself, I’m a retrosexual.

- Shaves rarely or only when absolutely necessary and with a hair clipper. So it’s a permanent stubble
- Walks straight. None of that swaggering kids these days have which makes them appear to have a hip problem.
- Wears anything that’s wearable and reasonably clean.

And that’s about it.. There’s not much subtext to retrosexuals

Ah and I love army boots. They are so comfy.

I am metrosexual, a girl brought it to my attention after she learned I shave my whole body and pluck my eyebrows lol.

I’m not tall, guess I can’t be a modern metrosexual. I can’t even be a “Public’s eye” metrosexual or a True macho guy. Any body stretching links?
WTF does “metrosexual” mean anyway, I mean heterosexual does with the other sex, homo does with it’s kind, bi etc. But “metro??!” , man WTF? Metrosexual does sex in subways? Who invented this word, I wonder what he had in mind?

My metrosexual career is a fiasco. Not tall, besides, I can’t even stand to comb my hair. Masculine, yes, low fat, no (no belly but I have %20 fat somehow). And I dress reckless, with next to NO time spent about how I look. Just my muscles.
Oh, and I don’t like shopping. I try to do it fast and clean, then get the fuck out. I get extremely bored especially if there are women with me, asking ridiculous questions like if it looks good, etc. Man, that truly tries the nerves.

Wow, I guess I’m scoring close to the true macho guy right now. But considering the fact that I’m not getting pussy for a long time (not that I care that much, if it wasn’t for my freaking intense libido), guess I better start thinking about this again, LOL :D

True. I don’t understand why people need to sort each other. First time a few girls told me that I’m metrosexual. I didn’t even know what the hell that means. :D
