Sorry I haven’t been responding to this thread much. Ass is fine thank you, it bleeds every now and then but it is definately related to me straining. I aint worried anymore though which is great - and you guys helped me lots!

I don’t seem to react too well to fibre though, it makes my anal muscles weak and I have to dart to the toilet, I for some reason find that my bowels are better with only a little bit of fibre - e.g. A banana, orange and some grapes a day.

Glad we could help. Just adjust the fiber intake till you find the sweet spot for you. If that means less, so be it. Just make sure to always have SOME everyday.

My dog had a similar problem! I was advised over the phone could be an anal tear change his diet etc by the vet. I did this. After a week he showed no improvement. So I took him to the vets. He had a pollops. When it was removed the bleeding stopped. It was a simple problem to solve.

There are many reasons why you can bleed from your backside. Cancer is one of them, but if you had bowl cancer 2 years ago untreated, you wouldn’t be a hypercondriac now, you’d be dead. Its that simple! You have a problem, its most likely not life threatening but it does require looking at by a trained professional as soon as possible. Doctors see a lot worse than this, so believe me you have nothing to feel awkward about!
