Not my body and I am a natural mesomorph with good genetics.

I don’t train legs anymore…have not done them for more than 10 years. Granted, my legs are still pretty big…maybe from cycling but if was to start training them again hard, I might gain 1lb total of solid muscle in a month or so….if I’m lucky.

Quads for legs are like biceps for arms…they comprise a very small amount of the total leg weight.

I disagree with that. Any part of the thigh will put on weight. Quads or hams. I don’t see the quad/bicep comparison at all.

Quads are huge. Only thing bigger is the glutes am I right?

Then you are probably getting towards your genetic limit. My ex roomate was a meso, the fucker gained 25 lbs just living with me for 8 months, his abs stayed VISIBLE. I made him lift heavy and eat often.

It’s all in the latin names of the muscles and yeah the quads will add weight due to that it is build up of four parts thereby the name Quadriceps Femoris.( four-headed muscle, Quadrople/ four)

Gluteus Maximus( the biggest muscle, maximus/greatest/largest many synonyms for that),

Latissimus Dorsi, the broadest muscle in the back region. (latus/ broad. latissimus/broadest. dorsum/ the back)

Huh?? Genetic limit for what? Without drugs, I could be 40lbs heavier than my current weight of around 200lbs and be just as lean.

But my goal weight is more like 185lbs at 5’11”. Most people who workout have no desire to get as big as they possibly can.

You won’t be as lean as you are now(assuming that you are pretty lean). If it were that easy bbers wouldn’t need drugs. There is a genetic limit(without drugs) depending on height and other things. I also believe that the quads are the biggest muscle besides the glutes. One thing I do know is that comparing them to biceps is the worst comparison I ever heard no offense.

But aside from all this. I bought a new multivitamin and still taking the cayenne pepper once a day now. Drinking more water too. I find it easier to keep a hardon now. Improvement is noticable. I stay hard until I finish masturbating and I also get horny more often(a lot more). Still not as hard as I want but it’s a start. I do atleast 20 mins of walking after workouts keeping my heart rate above 120bpm.

Nice glad to hear, I am trying the walking thing now too.

You don’t know me.
Without drugs, when I played football 20 years ago I was 20 lbs heavier than I am now and I was leaner. There is a genetic limit and no…I could not gain 10lbs of solid muscle in 1 month. I could not gain that in 6 months. But I could gain it in 1 year along with an extra few pounds of water and fat. In a few years I could be 240lbs. I eat clean year round (for me eating 3 or 4 PB&J sandwiches per day would not be clean).

I would never let myself get near even 220lbs again.

I know pbnj is not the cleanest but guess what. Everybody isn’t made of money so those of us who don’t have much money based on the situation and time, that’s the best way to catch up on calories cheap. I don’t eat them everyday but 3-4 days out of a week I use them to catch up on calories. I’m in college so I’m doing what I can. But I still stick to my story and based on the countless books and bbing statements you can not be shredded at 240lbs at 5’11. No offense. Sure you could make it there LEAN (20% bodyfat or slightly lower) but you would probably make it there 20%+ bodyfat at best.

All I said was I could be 40lbs heavier than I currently am (it would take a few years) and be just as lean….not that I am lean now. Like I said, I played football and was 20lbs heavier and considerably leaner…mind you I was also 20 years younger. But I never said i would be shredded.

I don’t know what my BF% is now (my pics are on Thunders) but my response was to someone who commented on reaching my genetic limit. I know I could never be shredded even at 220lbs never mind 240lbs unless I used drugs which I have never nor would I ever even consider.

There is a reason why my goal weight is in the 185lb range.

You can buy a 10 pound sack of beans at Costco for $10-20 and a huge sack of brown rice for the same — they’ll last months. Just cook up huge pots of rice and beans once a week and, voila, you have a cheap, healthy source of calories, protein and fiber. Way cheaper than PB&J and way more nutritious.

Starting (May 2010): BPEL:6" EG: 4 7/8". Current (April 2011): BPEL: 6 3/4" EG: 5 1/4".

Short Term Goal: BPEL: 7" EG: 5.25" Long Term Goal: When my wife makes me stop or 8"x6" (whichever comes first)

You know the nutritional content? I MAY can do that. Our refrigerator is super small and I have a roommate that uses it too. I’m in college.

ddolphin that’s what I’m saying. I guess that’s what he meant by your genetic limit by being shredded or something. But being shredded is what I was referring to when in reference to genetic limit. But I see what you are saying. Of course you can get to 240lbs . Some bodybuilders bulk up 40lbs+ on offseason but they lost most of it when they cut down.

If you’re living in a dorm with no kitchen and a tiny fridge then this would be tough. That sucks.

I did it with a super smal fridge in the Navy. Just pack it with precooked meat and keep a sh*t ton of packaged meats and starches that keep like tuna and chicken in cans, beef jerkey, bread, instant brown rice, and oatmeal. You can keep fruit for a few days at best but maily try to get your fruits and green veggies in at the dining hall.

sed26, do you even listen to my advice anymore? You’re obsessed with the oldschool method of bullying your body to bulk up as quick as possible then cut to extremes to lose it and pray that you look good when you’re finished. That ill conceived notion went out with jazzercise in the early 90s.
Natural bodybuilders now know that they can only gain about 10lbs of muscle a year on average for about 5 years depending on how long they train. So some of the new methods of bodybuilding have changed to allow a controlled bulking period, a build & burn period, and a cutting period. All of these depend on your bodyfat % and what your current goal is.
