Girls more into sex toys than boys?

I think women feel empowered by toys. They also mind find them appealing in the sense that they are essentially high potency wanking tools and so are able to provide levels of intensity of wank that non-machines are unable to produce. But they come in all kinds of cutesy little shapes and colors, and are called toys, so girls do not feel like wankers when they use them. It’s all the fun of super-wanking while actually somehow having less negative connotations than just old-fashioned wanking. They seem to like the idea of playing with toys, like children do, and feel it is more innocent like that than it is being advanced wankers sitting at home using power tools on their vaginas :P

It’s not just you fogies that are tired of it, I’m the same and I’m in my early 20’s.

The idea of going to sex shops and getting such paraphernalia is beyond me. When you are young, what’s wrong with just being with each other? If you are having to introduce more and more exotic equipment into what is essentially a very simple act, you’re setting yourself up for failure.

It’s easier to make your hand into a pretend vagina than a pretend penis (and use it on yourself), is at least part of it, I think.

I also think that when someone says “sex toys”, most men think they mean dildos, whereas (I would guess?) more women own vibrators than dildos. Or at least, a sex toy for a woman isn’t necessarily a dildo. Small vibrators are popular for the obvious reasons that they’re easily portable and discreet and that they can deliver a highly intense stimulation to a very localised area, which is just right for clitoral masturbation.

There’s a funny kind of reversal of the usual sexual double standard though, which is that for women, owning a sex toy is about as controversial as owning a teaspoon, whereas the idea of owning a pretend cunt made out of latex fills me with creeping horror. I guess a part of is that every man is born with a perfectly usable sex toy at the end of his right arm…and yes, a lot of women masturbate using only their fingers, but I guess the female anatomy is more conducive to using an artificial toy to help things along. Possibly also it’s because dildos have been around for thousands of years, I mean I know you can get ‘high tech’ ones these days but the basic idea is pretty primitive.

Very good point sir. Men whacking off is just considered lewd, dirty, and pervy whereas women wanking with machines and silicone phallus’ is sexy, healthy, and only to be respected. Men wank, women pleasure. I see it as the continuing reversal of the old male / female double standard. It used to be that men’s sexual prowess was exhaulted and women were relegated to having their sexual enjoyment disregarded or altogether ignored. Men used to be the more sexually selfish sex but I think women are now overtaking that role. A vibrator gets an approving giggle while a bottle of lotion gets an “ewww!” kind of giggle. Nowadays the double standard has done a complete flip and a man who REGULARLY (“habitually”) masturbates is considered some sort of sex addict and if he does it in place of a sexual encounter with his available and wanting woman then it’s time for him to get help. But if a woman gets off just about every day of the week but only one or two of those times is with her always ready, willing, and wanting man he’s expected to be respectful, enlightened and eagerly accomodating of her solitary pleasuring since her sexuality is to be held as so much more sophisticated and truly romantic than his. Yeah I see more women substituting the quick, intense sexual gratification with sex toys (masturbatory power tools) because our modern culture has so demeaned men that they’re thought of as not worth the bother. Just some of my thoughts on the subject…DTMB
