Low T Study

So, reading through the local paper here and find a notice for a Low T Study being [very] locally conducted. As a couple of guys here I’ve chatted with know, I’ve been experiencing the symptoms for quite a while, years in fact.

I thought the ad likely half a scam, but give them a call anyway.

Turns out it’s legit— it’s a local IVF/ fertility clinic that is working a stage three trial of an oral Clomid derivative.

Choice of two trials— one which is shorter term and is limited to the actual drug and requires a tracking journal and a few blood tests, and pays about a G

The other which is a double blind, but which will provide the actual study drug after the trial no matter what was administered during the trial. This one also requires a few semen samples and a day long multi-hour blood test to track testosterone profile over the day.
Pays like $3400

Went for the opening tests last Thursday— blood work show my T levels at 299- I qualify for the test.

Go for another round of tests and a semen sample on Thursday AM.

I’ll update as it goes.

It’s a trap.;)

PS: How are they paying you? When I did one, my doctor whom was one of the study groups, pays once a month, end of the month, between the mail and looking to dick you over. It takes three weeks from the check issue date to get.

Heh— I’m in it for the meds, whatever I get paid is bonus.

And it’s a fertility clinic— maybe they’ll want to recycle my samples into some local hotties— thus spreading my seed locally.

Lol. Low test levels can sometimes make people more aggressive though, by what I have read.

I never heard of low T being the cause of aggression? As a matter of fact, it was the first question my doctor asked after the 10 injections. “Have you been more aggressive”? The T injections I’ve been receiving has made a big difference for me. Went to a pharmacy that mixes the T and it cost less then half of what I was paying the “male medical clinic ” I went to first. You do need a docs script though for them to mix. If anyone has questions I’ll answer as best I can. Oh, and my nuts haven’t fallen off yet.

Make sure they test your PSA. When I started using Testim 1% gel, my PSA started to rise slightly and the doc had to reduce the dosage. Also, September is prostate testing month so all you middle age and older guys, take a few minutes to have your prostate checked this month.

Andro, please be sure to keep us updated on the results of your test study.. I am interested to see if it works.

Me too— I’ve already lost 6+ pounds since classes started and my workouts haven’t changed.

I do foresee wine consumption decreasing by probably about half as well, just because I cannot afford the fog.

Remember this isn’t a T study per se, this is a Clomid study on T levels.

So, went yesterday and had more bloods and wachked it into a cup— my total volume even after no ejaculation for 2.5 days was pitiful.

Ah shit- see what good living does?
Went for the second go round yesterday as mentioned above and not only a good nights sleep after tow short glasses of red, I had a quick hard AM workout- and shot my T levels up to 489.

They dropped me- my baselines needed to stay below 300

That’s a bummer the dropped you I have low T as well but it cost so much for the regular treatment.

Hey andronyc what symptoms have you been having ? I’m waiting for my blood result for a hormonal panel . I don’t feel tired or not motivated and libido sometimes is there sometimes is not the only thing that’s bothering me I’m not waking up with a morning wood but I am having nocturnal wood a lot and even in the morning when I wake up as soon as I touch buddy he starts waking up lol. I hope I don’t have low T.

Sounds like you don’t have low T- all those symptoms I’ve carried for years.

Bear in mind that “low T” is a relative thing.
If you’re naturally a high T guy then even levels that would be adequate for others will leave you feeling blech.
