No morning wood?

No morning wood?

Is it normal for a guy to rarely, if ever, get morning wood? I cannot think of the last time I experienced it. As a matter of fact, I cannot say that I ever have.

Sometimes I will wake up in the morning with a slight chub, maybe 20-30% erect, but I’ve never woken up with full on(or even 50%) wood.

Is it normal for some guys not get get morning wood?

I don’t think that is normal it may not be a serious problem but not normal. How old are you?

How about some basic info such as: Age, weight, existing medical conditions, smoke or not, how often you jack-off, etc., so that you can get some informed opinions….

You are likely overtraining your wanker. Take some time off and lay off of the porn also go easy with jerking off and things will return to normal. It has happened to me before and I am going through it now things should return to normal after a week or two.

It is very possible and very likely that you are having nocturnal erections while you are in deep REM sleep, one of the several stages of sleep, and you are one of those who wakes very slowly from it and don’t even know they already happened.

So long as your sexual erections are fine, don’t worry about it.

24 years old, 135lbs and fit, normal blood pressure, high triglycerides(not that high, 130 LDL), don’t smoke or drink(often).

My sexual erections are fine for the most part. I tend to get 100% erect for the first minute or so, then fluctuate from 100-90% during sex.

I am noticing that my sex drive has been decreasing. I believe this is due to a combination of the winter(I believe I suffer from SAD) and my insane scheduling which includes 4, 10 hour work days followed by 2 days of college.

Oh well, I’m going to try not to worry about things, we all know about the ED self fulfilling prophecy.

Try a tanning studio now and then? Video clips of daytime in Florida or Hawaii? :)

A lousy worklife schedule never promoted a good sleep cycle. Stay the course. You’ll be fine.

If you have a wonky schedule and aren’t getting enough sleep that could be part of it. If I only get 4-5 hours of sleep I don’t get them either.

I’m with you spektrum. I haven’t had one in a very long time. I think it’s because of my excessive PE. I was doing at least an hour session consisting of pumping, clamping, edging, manual squeezes, off and on hanging, seven days a week. Not only haven’t I had morning wood but my erection quality has diminished dramatically. I’ve taken this entire week off from PE and masterbating and starting next week will only PE on Mon, Wed. and Friday.

You could always proceed with the postal nocturnal experiment. Wrap the stamps around your penis and in the morning see if your penis went “postal.”

I rarely had morning wood during my life and I am 46 now. Never had real performance problems though.

With high doses of Cialis I experience sometimes an erection in the morning nowadays, I usually regard this as a sign to go slow with this medication as it is - for me at least - not normal.

Morning erections are a common side effect as a result of PDE5 drug use (Cialis is one of these.)

Don’t be afraid to have them, Shabernack. At your age they are especially healthy events - even to be encouraged. :)
