Sorry for the late reply (was kind of discouraged after disappointing doctor’s visits and tests) but I just had an MRI yesterday because my doctor thinks I have some kind of tumor in my pituitary that’s causing the low levels. It doesn’t make much sense because I tried HCG from an overseas pharmacy and my testosterone level didn’t change at all (still in the 300 to 400 range after multiple tests). But my FSH and LH did drop to significantly under the bottom end of the reference ranges for those two tests so I know the HCG is real HCG since it was normal before. I told the doctor that and he still wanted me to do the MRI so I did it. All my other blood test numbers were perfectly normal so my doctor is kind of stumped. In my opinion I think it’s primary hypogonadism since the HCG failed to incrase my testosterone level and my blood tests are normal. But normally with primary the pituitary makes an excess of LH and FSH because it thinks the testes are producing too little testosterone (they’re unable to produce more). However my pituitary could simultaneously think a level of 300 to 400 is perfectly fine which would explain the lack of elevation in LH and FSH in my tests before I took the HCG. I’m just hoping I don’t have a tumor when I get the results in a few days.
