After 1 month of PE

After 1 month of PE

I have been doing PE for exactly a month with a 1 on/1 off routine. I cannot PE on consecutive days because I wouldn’t be able to keep up the consistency needed.

Start Routine
3 min hot wraps with 100 kegels
5 sets stretch in each direction
100 jelqs
2 set 25 jelq and hold
3 min hot wraps

Current Routine
3 min hot wraps with 100 kegels
10 v stretch
150 jelqs
2 set 25 jelq and hold
3 min hot wraps

What should I do to improve my routine?

Progressively increase either time or intensity. Attempt to do a little bit more each workout than the previous one. A good rule of thumb is to increase about 20% per week.

After about 2 more months, take a complete rest for about 2 months and start in again at a lower level of intensity than what you end with.

Why a two month rest and not a week? Two months seems excessive to me.

A lot of people think so, but, then again, a lot of people stop gaining completely after their third month. Some people recommend much less than 3 months of workout time before a long break. Xenolith recommends as little as 2 weeks of workout time, followed by 1 month of ADS and 2 months of rest before resuming.

I think newbies might need more workout time initially, because they need to build up gradually to the level of intensity required for gains. Subsequent bouts of PE (started at much higher intensity than used at the start of the newbie routine) should probably for much less than 3 months.

What if you haven’t cemented gains at that time, would that mean you lose everything you worked for?

You can cement them on your next round. The word is that uncemented gains are easily recovered once PE is resumed. Cementing may have the undesireable effect of toughening up your tissues to the point where they do not easily respond to PE.
