Avoiding knee jerk reactions to potential negative PI as a newbie?
Hey all, title kind of says it, but for some background I’m 29 y.o., fairly new to PE though have been looking at it for a while, and decided to take
Up the JP90 routine the other day. I started last week following the routine exactly, and toward the end felt like it was a little too much. I took a few days off to rest and recalibrate it a bit more to my level and started two days on, one off with 100 wet jelqs and 60 v-jelqs instead of the normal amount.
I take warmup and warm down seriously, 10 minutes each with a heating pad.
I haven’t noticed any spotting, my penis was a bit numb toward the end of the sessions, but that’s not an issue now. However, I did turtle pretty hard after the first session (2 days ago) and a bit yesterday and this morning (rest day), though as of 9:30 tonight my flaccid length has pretty much returned to the normal state.
However, I did notice that during the temporary shrinkage, my corpus cavernosa were really stiff, like the tissue was erect but I wasn’t even at normal flaccid length. I’ve heard of people experiencing hard flaccid syndrome and want to avoid that for sure, and as of now I’d say I’m about 75% of the way back to normal sponginess.
My question is this. While I know that every body is different and you have to listen to your own body, does it sound like I hit some negative PIs and need to back off a bit? Or is this just part of the body’s reaction to a new exercise? I want to get the JP90 routine up and going and be committed to it, but I don’t want to back down every time I get a little worried about something. I definitely don’t want injuries, but how do I interpret what my body is telling me?
