I have been clamping for a few months now and have developed what looks like a bruise just a bit above where I fasten the clamp. I have heard of discolouration but I am unsure of the best way to keep it at bay. Would you just treat it as a bruise in general and maybe apply a cold compress? This all started a few weeks back with a tiny blood blister ( due to a poor wrap ) and now looks like a bruise about thumbsize. The blood blister incidentally seems to be a weak spot and goes dark every time I clamp.

I plan to limit my clamping sessions to twice a week and limit the duration of the session itself which is a shame as I felt as though I was really gaining something. Will two clamping sessions a week be sufficient? I might even just clamp either the day I plan to have sex or the day before so only once a week.

Or what is the best consensus of what can limit the discolouration? I have done a search but sometimes its better if someone can point the way to the most up to date methods.

I really want to keep this up but don’t want my girlfriend to notice anything other than an increase in size :(

The best way to keep discolouration at bay during normal PE is with firegoat rolls.

Now, to your problem. You have created a weak spot and it will not get better if you keep doing PE. It will continue to get worse, and the longer you keep maintaining it as a weak spot, the more permanent it will become. I imagine most of us who have been serious clampers have had this happen at least once, and many of us more than once. There is an ever present danger of a ‘weak spot’ suddenly turning into a split vein with heavy bleeding under the skin - basically half your penis turns black and takes weeks to return to normal. It’s not painful but it looks horrible.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do apart from rest. It’s not a brief PE break either. If you take 2 weeks off and clamp again, the dark spot will be back and you’ll be back to square one. In the past when I’ve had the same I’ve had to take 6-8 weeks off, then start with light jelqs and build back very slowly from there, otherwise the weak spot starts to leak subcutaneously again. Starting again you have to be incredibly careful to watch the spot and if you see even the tiniest bit of leak, take another couple of weeks off before trying again. You have to take the time off though, otherwise you end up with a permanent problem which will finish your PE ‘career’.

Great attitude. Really it’s how everyone should look at clamping; it’s such an easy exercise to get carried away with.

I’ve clamped intensely for months without injury or gains. I tried soft clamping (using toe shields) after a few rest days and I was left scattered with black spots on the right side of my shaft. They quickly fade to purple, then red and within several hours they are gone. No pain, no EQ issues.

If they fade quickly they generally are not a problem. I’ve occasionally gone through times when I just get red spots more easily than others. Sometimes it’s stress, or change of diet etc. But usually it’s coming back from a few weeks off too quickly. If that happens I just do very light PE every other day then slowly ramp it up.

I figured if it was fine the next day I would keep going and have for a little while but even after 2-3 days rest they still come back.

I think I’ll take two weeks, I haven’t had more than a few days in months. I’ll start back slow and try a 6 week on 2 week off cycle.

So I waited two weeks, no exercises, only sex with a cock ring. After some dry jelqing/uli I can see them coming back. They are much smaller than when I clamped and not as dark but still here faintly almost 24hours after.

I measured every few days on my two week break and think I gained about 0.2” girth despite the red/purple/black spots.

Thinking of trying some light jelqing and bathmate superset to keep things warm. I can’t post in the injury section yet, is there somewhere else I can upload a picture?

Ulis, clamping and certainly Bathmate are exercises highly likely to cause or make worse the spots. I’d avoid those and when you reintroduce them in the future, do so gently and slowly.

I did low pressure bathmate and modified jelqs 5 on 5 off x3 with no spots after stretching today (stretch everyday, girth every other day). I’m trying to ease back into things and progress again without spots.

Coming from clamping 3x10 3 on 1 off this is much lighter work. Every few days on my two week break I measured and held a 0.2” girth gain so I’m eager to get back to more girth work.
