I’ve seen some threads that claims that you have to cement your gains to get them permanent, how important is this?

Is cementing only for those who had in mind to stop PE, the veterans?


Gone cementing - Started (2005): 7.25 NBPEL 5.7 EGMS. 5 years later (2010): 8.25 NBPEL 6.3 EGMS. 8 years later, 3 years with no PE (2013): 8.1 NBPEL 5.9 EGMS

Cementing just means that on the day you hit you goal, you just can’t quit doing PE there, or you will lose what you have just gained. In general, you have to continue with your routine for several months to make that gain permanent. In the process of cementing, you might likely go past your previous goal number and then that new achievement must be cemented with further PE.

If you don’t plan on stopping, you are essentially continuously cementing your gains. It is the best plan.

Gprent! Assume I want a length of 8 inches and I attain it. R you saying that I have to reach maybe 8 1/2 or more in order to cement my gain at 8 inches? How does this work?where and when do you stop?

I am not saying you have to go past your goal to achieve it, but it’s nice when it happens that way. Whether you go past that hypothetical 8 inches or not, you have to at least maintain doing PE at 8 inches for several months to cement it.

Then, if you want to quit, it’s always best to at least keep up with some sort of maintenance program to stay in tip top condition.

Gprent! What should be the frequency of the maintenance routine? Would it also involve all the PE stuff like hanging, stretching and jelqs or just some of it?
