Couple of newbie questions about jelqing

Hi all, I’m new here.

I recently started the newbie routine, and have a couple of questions about jelqing.

1. What is the best way to optimise girth gains? I’m fairly happy with length, but my girth is 4”, and so I’d like to direct gains towards girth. At the moment I’m trying to do this by jelqing with the penis pointing upwards, and also by maintaining a higher erection level (about 80%) but the limited gains I have seen in the short time I’ve been exercising appear to be in length.

2. The jelqing guide mentions to keep erection level at no more than 80%.. I find when I jelq, the strength of the erection grows, and I have to stop, and allow it to subside. Am I doing something wrong - gripping to strong/too hard - or is this normal?

Any answers would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!

I found jelqing with the over hand ok grip seemed to bump my girth up overnight, which is not what I want or need (5.5 already) so I use the standard ok now and it seems to be working.

Wanna swap length for girth? Half inch for half inch lol.

Hey Harris, ‘over hand ok’ is this the standard jelq but with the hand over the top of the shaft instead of under near the scrotum?

Yeah thats it so the “webbing” of your hand is constantly running over the top of your shaft.

Thanks a lot, I’ve amended my routine to try that out!

I’m still unsure as to erection level.. Unless I’ve masturbated before exercising, I find a few strokes of jelqing causes my erection level to go too high (close to 100%), and I have to wait for it to come down. This happens regularly and causes the whole process to take twice/thrice as long. What am I doing wrong?

I’m not a vet by all means but that happened a lot when I first started jelqing and all I found that helped then was to wait ‘till erection levels receded. After a few sessions things started to control themselves nicely.

Nothing, pretty soon your body will associate jelqing with PE and not sex/masturbation like it is now. I think Firegoat recommended masturbating earlier in the day to combat it.

I have the opposite problem strangely enough!

Lord Harris, I’ve got the same problem you have. My erection goes down during Jelqing and I must often stop and masturbate a bit to get the erection level up again. Kind of annoying and I suspect that it hinders the gains :/

I had the same problem when I started 3 weeks ago but now I can maintain the erection level I want. After a few days/weeks your penis will get used to PE and will no longer act like you are masturbating and get fully erect right away. This has happened to me, I hope it will happen to you to.
